Proficiently prepares samples for analytical testing and/or distribution of specimens to the proper analytical area. Accurately registers, receives, processes, and stores biological specimens, such as blood, body fluid and tissue, and accessions them into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required and one year of laboratory experience preferred
OR
Military Laboratory Training: (Phase I -Air Force or Basic-Army).

The Ambulatory Clinical Staff Pharmacist I oversees and directly contributes to the verification, preparation and dispensing of prescription orders for all ambulatory patients in accordance with all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Medicare/Medicaid standards and Texas State Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations. Activities include prescription order review and verification, counseling and educating patients on medication treatment and disease states, providing needed immunizations to members of the community, and is responsible for supervising the activity of pharmacy technician. The ambulatory clinical staff pharmacist will continually strive to provide world-class service while assuring our patients receive their prescribed medications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A PharmD. degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy is required. Completion of an ASHP-accredited Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Community Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience (3 years in community pharmacy) preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current Pharmacy and Pharmacy Preceptor licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in the state of Texas is required. Current pharmacy-based immunization certification, if applicable to position, is required.

* Supports operating room and sterile processing through coordination of the case cart system.
* Responsible for pulling required soft goods, instruments, totes in accordance with surgeon preference cards to place onto case carts.
* Manages the AGV case cart delivery system to facilitate smooth transition of processes between surgical scheduling/required surgical supplies and instrumentation/and the operating rooms.
* Assists with inventory, stocking and budget control of supplies.
What we require:
* High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
* Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
* Certification as a surgical technologist is required.
* Three years experience in the Operating Room as a general Surgical Technician is required.

Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity. Makes independent value judgments when supervision is not available. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Licensed by the State of Texas (MRT) is required. Advanced certification in CT is preferred. CT technologists who are not advanced certified, are required to have documentation that they have participated in education that prepares them to achieve advanced CT certification. Two years of CT experience is required. Must meet and maintain the clinical ladder requirements for this specialty.
Provides supervision to the technical staff of the Respiratory Care Department on a given shift. Ensures that all therapy is accurately and efficiently accomplished, that the department has sufficient equipment and supplies and that all staff is properly trained. Provides care to any age group from pediatric to geriatric as evidenced by the skill/competency check-offs. Complies with and enforces departmental and University Health policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in Science with a major in Respiratory Care and the successful completion of the written and clinical simulation exams given by the NBRC are required. Two years experience after attaining the NBRC accreditation, one of which has been in a supervisory capacity is also required. Three years supervisory experience after credentialing in a 500 plus bed facility is preferred. In lieu of the above experience and education, the Director of Respiratory Care/Pulmonary Function Lab may accept a Certified Respiratory Care Technician or Graduate Therapist. Supervisors must be certified in BLS.
