Role Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing both preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities to ensure smooth operations of production equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills and solid electrical experience. While PLC programming is not required, prior PLC experience is preferred and may lead to opportunities as a Controls Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Field Service Technician- Industrial Chillers
Thermal Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician based in the Chicagoland area to join our team. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, warranty service, and billable repairs on process cooling equipment across a 3–5 state region, with a strong emphasis on preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will travel in a company-provided van, delivering on-site technical support, identifying and implementing effective solutions to equipment issues, and coordinating with internal teams as needed to ensure timely and thorough resolution. Duties and Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance and start up Thermal Care process cooling systems, ensuring compliance with operational specifications
- Verify system performance and ensure successful project sign-off
- Conduct operator training on-site
- Submit documentation for any outstanding issues and facilitate resolution
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to promote loyalty and repeat business
- Analyze and resolve equipment issues with professionalism and accuracy
- Perform remote diagnostics when required

Requirements

- Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and PLC logic
- Proficiency with electronic test and measurement tools.
- Valid Driver's License
Travel and Availability
- Willing and able to travel 65–85% of the time, primarily by company van within assigned multi-state region.
- Flexible to work independently and manage on-site responsibilities with minimal supervision.
