Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance is currently searching for a Field Sales Support Specialist in St. Louis, MO covering the Springfield, IL area.
The Field Support Specialist works closely with the Commercial Roofing Sales Representative to support and increase the sales activity in the Sales Representative’s region. Maintains accounts through prospecting, closing, and providing solid market presence including serving customers.
Developing Business
- Preparing and/or distributing marketing materials
- Inspection and evaluation of the property
- Preparing roof drawings and sketches
- Preparing scope of work documents
- Preparing proposals
- Attending sales calls
- Pricing patch and repair jobs
- Providing technical expertise
- Attending meetings with the architect, contractor and/or owner
Managing Accounts
- Identifying, analyzing, resolving problems
- Preparing reports to owners regarding the condition of roofs.
- Project site visits to monitor installation of Tremco roofing products
- Identification of any aspect of installation that does not comply with specifications
- Review and resolve concerns of architects, contractors and owners regarding Tremco’s installation instructions
- Coordinating visits with contractors
- Preparing reports on progress and problems for the Sales Representative.
- QA/ QA+ inspections
- Tremcare Gold Service (periodic visual inspection with minor repairs being addressed where detected on Tremco warranted roofs only).
- Identifying and troubleshooting problems arising during installation and the lifecycle of the roof
May occasionally perform patch and repair work for small leaks that can be performed quickly after identifying the leak and other infrequent, limited physical labor. May also perform minor maintenance (caulking, flashing touch up, applying small amounts of mastic, removing debris, etc.) to prevent potential leaks.
This Work May Include But Is Not Limited To
- Conducting diagnostic infra-red scans of roofs
- Taking photographs
- Preparing CADD drawings
- Delivering or picking up samples, documents or small products from/to architects, owners and contractors.
Education And/or Experience
- Minimum: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or combination of education and experience.
- Must have a minimum of two to three years of related hands-on experience and/or training in a similar role.
- Prior sales and/or customer related experience in roofing industry required.

The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $70,000 and $90,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.

The Electrical Preconstruction Manager will participate in all aspects of the preconstruction process for electrical systems to develop accurate, detailed cost estimates with a focus on heavy/ advanced manufacturing, industrial and mission critical projects. This role will be expected to interact with engineers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, a multi-discipline estimating team, project supervision, and field personnel.
The Specifics of the Role
- Periodically attend pre-bid meetings to become familiar with unique project requirements and analyze existing site conditions to determine required scope that is not already indicated.
- Review and interpret project documents to determine job-specific material, equipment, and labor requirements for scope development.
- Assist in preparing written scopes of work for subcontracts and suppliers and coordinating electrical scopes with the work of other trades (e.g., civil, structural, architectural, mechanical etc.).
- Participate in pre-proposal design coordination meetings to support the development of pricing documents for conceptual estimates.
- Perform quantity survey of electrical systems and components using digitized software, and apply industry standard labor rates (e.g., MCAA, PHCC, etc.) to support the development of accurate cost estimates.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor for conformance with proposal requirements; level scopes and identify low cost/ best value responses while capturing assumptions, rationale, inclusions, exclusions, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of estimates used for bidding and budgeting purposes (including self-performed work); participate in internal estimate review process and assist with final recap of estimate for presentation to senior management.
- Support project management tasks, including budgeting, schedule development, interim design review, change order pricing, procurement, value engineering, and vendor selection based on proposal development.
- Coordinate with project teams to evaluate productivity for historical data and schedule/ cost forecasting purposes.
- Perform quantity survey of completed designs and/ or past projects to support historical cost data collection and analysis.
Requirements

- Ensures the development and execution of project automation plan, environmental compliance plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, construction execution plan, and job-site work rules.
- Responsible for implementation of Clayco’s safety program, security, housekeeping, and fire protection on the construction site and ensures strict adherence Federal and State safety codes.
- Ensures the field organization is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel and ensures effective personnel utilization.

- Ensures development and execution of strategies and plans for project automation, environmental compliance, safety, site surveying, non-manual staffing, contracting, labor strategy, construction execution, and job-site work rules.
- Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.
- Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager for all assignment of Superintendent and Foreman positions.
- Support Superintendent(s) throughout the duration of the job.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related technical degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
- 20-25 years of relevant experience, with progressive responsibility and technical knowledge both scope and value of project.
- Technical knowledge and experience of relevant construction methods and systems including:
- Utility relocates and slope stability works.
- Full understanding of multiple mission critical platforms.
- Full understanding and working knowledge of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems. General understanding of BMS and EPMS Systems.
- Full understanding and coordination of Utility relocations, underground medium voltage systems, and BIM modeling coordination of ALL utilities both above and below ground.
- Full understanding and managing of all LOTO procedure's and FOD inspections for all systems.
- Ability to research and understand local codes and jurisdictional requirements for the project.
- Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience with successful interface management on Data Center/Mission Critical projects.
- OSHA 30 required.
- Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi-floor scaffolding.
- Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs.

The Role We Want You For
As a Project Cost Manager, you will be assisting in the development and management of the project financial strategy. You will be working directly with the project management team to manage the project budget, costs, change orders, pricing requests, billings, and forecasts. You will be responsible for generating and maintaining reports that provide information to different groups, work with the management team to identify variances, risks and maintain quality control processes to improve project cost procedures and ensuring conformity with management's strategy.
The Specifics of the Role
- Works with all project disciplines to ensure understanding of total project cost budget allowances and targets.
- Review project documents and specifications to accurately identify, develop and track request of change orders (owner and subcontractor related), baseline estimates, potential risk exposures while communicating potential impacts to the financial targets, schedule, and overall project management process.
- Works closely with the accounting department to ensure the correct integration of all information needed to ensure accuracy in billings, payment applications, change orders, direct cost, labor cost, etc.
- Works closely with the project management team, executive management personnel, subcontractors, as well as occasional contact with clients.
- Responsible for cost engineering, cost estimation, cost analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for proposal estimating activities which require a moderate degree of technical skill and experience.
- Ensuring quality, accuracy, consistency, spend profile, performing change management, and transparency in all cost management deliverables.
- Take ownership of the cost control function and ensure integrity of the cost and forecast reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management, or related degree.
- 5-10 years of Project Cost experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of project development stages, procurement, project controls, and construction execution practices is required.
- Working knowledge of applicable computer software such as PMWeb or similar project portfolio management software, DataServ, Excel, JD Edwards, or related software programs.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Results oriented and deliver on customer commitments.
- PMP certification desirable.
