Position Summary:
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Laboratory is looking to hire a Computational Scientist, Bioinformatics to aid in the development of therapies for people with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The Scientist will work as part of joint Genomics/Bioinformatics team and directly with the scientific functional groups across the CFFT Lab. This role works closely with the Head of Bioinformatics and the Head of NGS and Genomics on devising research strategies, designing experiments, performing data analysis and interpretation, developing analytical models and computational solutions, and implementing computational pipelines. Participates in the department's effort in maintaining databases, software tools and solutions as required for organizing, analyzing, and integrating internal experimental data and public datasets. Understands well the biology application domain, proficient in bioinformatics tools, databases, software development, general and numerical algorithms, statistics and machine learning. Capable of working independently and as a part of a team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently, or as part of a team, conduct computational analysis of experimental data.
Identify and apply relevant existing analytical/statistical approaches, software tools, and solutions.
Develop novel analytical/statistical approaches and computational solutions, implement computational pipelines.
Analyze genomic data and diverse Next Generation Sequencing datasets (short-read and long-read platforms, DNA-seq, bulk and single cell RNA-seq, epigenetic profiling, HT screens).
Stay current on scientific literature and research advances, provide input for identification of research questions and for experimental design; play a key role in result interpretation and presentation.
Participate in group meetings for discussion of data analysis needs and strategies.
Prepare and present results at internal meetings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
PhD (1-2 years of postdoc or industrial experience preferred), or Master's with 5+ years of experience and demonstrated excellence in conducting computational research, and generating scientific insights.
Experience with Next Generation sequencing technologies and processing and analysis of a broad range of genomic/transcriptomic/epigenetic NGS data.
Experience with managing and integrative analysis of large scale multi-omic datasets (large genomic, transcriptomic, or epigenetic datasets, for example ENCODE, single cell atlases, GWAS, etc).
Knowledge in general-purpose, numerical, and bioinformatics algorithms.
Strong analytical skills, expertise in statistical analysis, and statistical/machine learning algorithms.
Proven software development skills, proficiency in R and/or Python (including Python's scientific libraries) preferred, shell scripting, familiarity with version control, Linux administration skills.
Good understanding of biology and of molecular biology experimental techniques, specifically in the areas of transcriptomics and transcriptional regulation (while wet lab skills are not required, understanding of molecular biology and of experimental methods and protocols is).
Additional desirable skills: direct experience in machine learning/AI approaches to biological problems and to sequence analysis specifically; familiarity with cloud computing environments; familiarity with HTML/JavaScript and web application/server technologies.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and keep organized to ensure timely and accurate work.
Ability to concentrate on details.

Peer Specialist - Program for Assertive Community Treatment
Riverside Community Care is seeking a Peer Specialist to join our community-based PACT program in the Norwood/Needham/Dedham area.
PACT provides individuals referred by the Department of Mental Health or MBHP with access to community-based rehabilitation, clinical treatment, employment, housing, wellness and peer services, with ancillary supports that will be coordinated in partnership with the individual. Services are designed to be flexible based on the needs of the persons served, and to promote resiliency and recovery for all participants. PACT is a 24/7 program and services are provided 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to guide the recovery focused culture within this team.
The Peer Specialist will work as a member of the PACT team to inspire that recovery is possible through individual and group conversations, guiding individuals through their own recovery process, and assisting individuals with learning about and accessing recovery resources and communities. The Peer Specialist will provide education to individuals and team members, and direct services using their own recovery experience as a positive model.
Schedule: Part Time, 20 hours

Position Summary:
CFF LAB:The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's one-of-a-kind research facility, located in Lexington, Massachusetts, accelerates the early stages of therapeutics discovery aimed at restoring function of the defective cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) protein. The Lab serves as a critical bridge between discoveries made at academic institutions and the development of new therapies by the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Since opening in 2012, the Lab's mission has evolved from small molecule drug discovery to include transformative, DNA- and RNA-based therapeutic approaches targeting the defective CFTR gene or transcript. This strategic shift addresses unmet needs for people with cystic fibrosis (pwCF) who are unable to benefit from current highly effective modulator therapies, including those with rare and nonsense variants. The Lab's efforts are centered on developing treatments for these underserved populations while enabling genetic therapies that offer the greatest promise for a durable cure.COOP PROGRAM SUMMARY:
This research experience will focus on learning how scientific discovery data can be translated to treatment of disease. The successful applicant will join the Electrophysiology and Epithelial Cell Core Team and carry out an independent research project and may assist with ongoing projects. The purpose of the Coop term will be to: 1) immerse students in areas of biomedical science not readily accessible on undergraduate campuses, 2) provide an opportunity to learn firsthand how to analyze and interpret new data, 3) experience the process of research as a creative intellectual activity and gain a more realistic view of the opportunities and demands of a professional research career, 4) allow students to gain an in depth understanding of cystic fibrosis (CF) and the rapidly advancing therapeutic landscape for CF.
POSITION SUMMARY:Works under supervision on projects conducted within the Electrophysiology team. Will gain hands-on experience with a variety of basic and advanced tissue culture techniques and ion transport assays to address key scientific questions for the CF discovery field. Works closely with Electrophysiology team members to generate and maintain both immortalized and primary human cell cultures, conduct complex tissue-level electrophysiological characterization of CFTR function in ALI cultures. Will learn essentials of scientific data analysis and be able to present findings to supervisor. Expected to prepare and present a summary PowerPoint presentation in an internal group setting.

Position Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team of dedicated behavioral health professionals.

Clinician - Newton Outpatient Center
Riverside's Newton Outpatient Center is seeking a Clinician - All Ages! In this role the Clinician will provide clinical intervention to youth, adults, and families at the Newton Outpatient Center, in the community, and via Telehealth. They will also provide assessments, service planning, individual and family counseling, advocacy, and linkage services to program clients. May also provide group treatment and other clinical intervention services as needed in collaboration with funders. The clinician will also maintain contacts with local providers and attends community meetings as needed.
The Clinician is responsible for providing general administrative assistance to Riverside consumers and clinic staff, including:
Functions as the primary clinician for a designated caseload, providing mobile assessment, crisis stabilization, service planning, individual and family counseling, case management, support, advocacy and linkage services as needed.
- Utilizes resources available through the program and in the community to support achievement of treatment goals and growth of youth, families, and adults being served.
- Involves youth, family, and relevant involved parties in assessment and service planning, and is consistently helpful, timely and respectful in responding to consumer and family concerns.
- With client permission, regularly communicates and collaborates with school personnel and other involved community providers around assessment and service provision for assigned youth
- Attends scheduled supervision meetings, comes to the meetings prepared and utilizes feedback constructively to improve performance, as needed.
Independent Licensure of LICSW or LMHC preferred. Ideal candidates will have experience with children, youth, and individuals with substance use disorders.

Position Summary:
The Development Director is responsible for leading and executing the chapter's fundraising efforts, with a strong emphasis on individual giving, corporate partnerships, special events, volunteer and donor recruitment & cultivation, and community engagement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountable for achieving fundraising budgets & volunteer leadership goals. Plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising events.
Develop event budgets, sponsorship packages, and growth strategies to maximize revenue and engagement.
Lead donor moves management by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual and institutional donors.
Recruit and maintain strong relationships with board members, donors, volunteers, and community partners to support fundraising efforts.
Develop and implement strategies for donor retention and growth, including personalized outreach and recognition.
Communicate, educate, and raise awareness about CF and the Foundation's mission to people with CF, families, and community members.
Collaborate with Field Marketing Partner to manage external marketing & communications.
Follow all organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and ethical standards related to fundraising and donor relations.
Ensure fundraising activities align with department, area and chapter goals, and strategic priorities.
Provide accurate forecasting of revenue and expenses for events.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,AND ABILITIES:
Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
Minimum of 4 years related non-profit experience.
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Strong volunteer management experience.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, financial, and planning skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Associate Executive Director. No direct reports.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Systems Engineering, Integrated Systems Department is seeking a Systems Engineering Technical Lead for the NASAMS product line. This role requires strong technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the design and development of world-class air and missile defense systems.
The Integrated Systems Department supports Raytheon by providing world-class weapon systems engineering. Domain expertise includes radar systems, effector systems, battle management, command and control, network design, battlespace integration, and interoperability for both domestic and international customers.
You will work alongside motivated engineers who are responsible for conducting systems engineering studies and trades; supporting system requirements definition and analysis; and contributing to algorithm development, integration, test, and evaluation.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical oversight and management for a variety of Systems Engineering efforts
- Concept and requirements development (including decomposition and flowdown) within a mature product-line
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
- Algorithm optimization and development
- Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
- Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter
- Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system
- Support and lead Internal and External Program and Design Reviews
- Collaborate with other IPT/CPT leads from the various functions and products
- Support and lead Internal Research and Development for future capability upgrades
- System integration and test support, including live fire test events
- Periods of travel up to 25% of time both domestically and internationally
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with Air Defense Systems in systems engineering roles supporting development or production
- Experience with managing budget, scope and/or earned value
Qualifications We Prefer
