Title: Pathologist Physician Location: Milwaukee, WI Responsibilities and Duties Provide professional services in Anatomic and Surgical Pathology.
Meet turnaround time requirements for surgical pathology and other cases per VHA policy.
Ensure compliance with standards of CAP, TJC, FDA, AABB, and VHA Pathology procedures.
Document care directly into the VAs electronic health record systems (VISTA/CPRS).
Apply specialized knowledge and skills to deliver Veteran-centered pathology care.
Participate in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
Contribute to interdisciplinary case reviews and clinical team meetings as required.
Be available for on-call consultation as defined by service needs.
Qualifications & Administrative Education & Experience Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Board certification in Anatomic Pathology (ABPATH/ASCP).
Minimum of five years of recent experience (within the past three years).
Licensing & Credentialing Full and unrestricted medical license in a U.S.
State, Territory, or D.C.
Credentialing and privileges approved by the Milwaukee VAMC.
Skills & Competencies Proficient in written/spoken English (38 Client 7402).
Computer literate; able to use VISTA/CPRS systems for patient records.
