Provides evaluation and physical therapy treatment in accordance with agency standards the laws and regulations governing the provision of physical therapy services in the state of Maryland District of Columbia or Virginia and other regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities


Analyzes and documents patients and family's response to interventions. Evaluates measurable progress toward goals and revise the plan of care. Identifies and modifies underlying factors that impede progress toward goals. Makes recommendations for updates in plan of care using knowledge of interventions and resources.Establishes and documents teaching plan for patients/families based on patients' level of knowledge diagnosis prescribed treatment and available resources. Communicates (verbal written demonstration) respectfully with patients/families supervisor peers and other health team members. Establishes visit schedule and informs patient/family and team supervisor.Contributes to the achievement of established goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Completes annual Code of Conduct Compliance and other mandatory training.Implements an effective physical therapy treatment plan in conjunction with the patient their family/caregiver the patient's physician and other members of the health care team and modifying treatment plan as needed.Evaluation includes interview observation palpation specialized assessments including but not limited to goniometry muscle strength testing and sensory testing. Such assessments require use of tools (e.g. goniometer sphygmomanometer stethoscope) and the possession of sight and hearing senses or the use of prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.Independently implements and documents plan of care for patients with a routine to complex problems to facilitate continuity of care. Documented interventions are related to planning of care. Interventions reflect the standard of care for patient condition/diagnosis. Interventions include utilizing agency and community resources. Performs therapy interventions consistent with home care protocols. Interventions reflect knowledge of standard home care supplies and equipment used inpatient care.Independently organizes patient assignments for completion of tasks within acceptable time frames. Seeks assistance from PT III Rehab Care Manager or supervisor regarding complex patient problems. Maintains necessary clinical records collects data and prepares reports on activities. Submits completed admission records within 48 hours and daily records within 24 hours with a Ninety-five percent accuracy on technical audit. Recertification completed prior to recert date. Maintains caseload mix and productivity for acuity level of patients.Initiates and participates in regularly scheduled case conferences; includes all disciplines. Includes patient and family in mutual goal setting and care plan revision.Maintains effective working relationships with other departments and participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams. Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and agency in community outreach efforts. Enhances growth and development and enriches personal knowledge and skill through participation in educational programs and affiliations.Performs history and assessment related to episode of patient illness to determine the patient's habilitation/rehabilitation needs. Recommends adaptive equipment and/or home modifications to maximize the patient's functional abilities and safety. Identifies primary patient problems from assessment. Identifies discharge planning needs including referrals to appropriate community resources. Interprets abnormal clinical data to anticipate problems associated with changing patient status.Performs procedures and modalities including but not limited to therapeutic exercise functional mobility training gait training heat/cold application and ultrasound. Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school required
Experience
  • 1-2 years Clinical experience required
Licenses and Certifications
  • PT - Physical Therapist License to practice Physical Therapy in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination based on work location(s) Upon Hire required and
  • DL - Valid State Driver's License in good standing with a dependable vehicle for transportation Upon Hire required
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Fulfill operating room circulator role during cardiac surgical procedures: Utilize expertise in open-heart surgery to assist the surgical team by managing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon and surgical team.
  2. Ensure patient safety: Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols, consistently monitor patient vital signs and responses to treatment, and intervene promptly in case of any complications or emergencies.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technicians, and other members of the surgical team to ensure seamless coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  4. Coordinate with Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team: Collaborate closely with ICU nurses and physicians to facilitate the smooth transition of patients from the operating room to the ICU following cardiac surgery. Provide thorough handoff communication to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  5. Provide support and assistance: Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation for surgery, as well as with wound closure and post-operative procedures as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation: Record all pertinent information related to patient care, surgical procedures, and medication administration accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives: Contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency within the cardiac surgery department.

 


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience circulating in open-heart surgery.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and strongly preferred Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for performing general tasks for the Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Director, in support of their Commission, Committees and Division.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Office Administration:
  2. Serve as receptionist
  3. Greet visitors and point them in the right direction, answer inquiries, and create a welcoming environment
  4. Screen phone calls, redirect calls, and take messages
  5. Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail
  6. Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
  7. Maintain calendars and invitations
  8. Maintain contact lists
  9. Coordinate on-site, virtual and other meetings/events
  10. Produce and distribute correspondence, such as memos, letters, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
  11. Prepare, dispatch and archive correspondence and meeting minutes
  12. Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  13. Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
  14. Process citations and certificates
  15. Manage accounts and perform bookkeeping
  16. Order office supplies; create purchase requests
  17. Prepare the monthly credit card and travel expense reports
  18. Distribute payroll and payable checks
  19. Prepare and facilitate IT equipment and help desk requests
  20. Ensure operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  21. Maintain office supplies inventory
  22. Determine inventory level; anticipate needs; place orders; and verify receipt of purchases
  23. Ship brochures/pamphlets
  24. Travel Arrangements:
  25. Coordinate airline, hotel and other required reservations
  26. Prepare travel requests
  27. Events (National Convention, Washington Conference, Spring/Fall Meetings):
  28. Prepare invitations, agenda, reports, etc., in connection with events
  29. Arrange logistics (transportation, on-site points of contact, schedule, etc.)
  30. Communicate with participants to coordinate details and gather required information
  31. Travel in support of the organization, as required
  32. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Education/Technical Knowledge:

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred

Our Opportunity

The project manager will be based in our Arlington, Virginia headquarters. In this role you will be part of the project management team for utility scale solar for our company’s projects, including.

coordination within the company, contractors, inspectors, consultants, local counties, and other agencies. Project manager will oversee projects from permitting phase to closeout and turnover to operations and maintenance team. Responsibilities include estimating, contracting, compiling, and staying within project budget, creating, and staying on schedule, and coordinating material.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute contractor agreements written to ensure compliance with project specifications, budget, and schedule.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews of direct reports.
  • Manage project cost accounting and project budgets to limit financial risk.
  • Manage drawing takeoffs, estimating and subcontractor agreements.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the project work including equipment, materials, subcontractors, and vendors toward successful implementation of the project.
  • Works with all project stakeholders, both internal and external to develop and maintain the project schedule.
  • Maintains professional level of communication with subcontractors, equipment and material vendors, owners, inspectors, etc.
  • Contribute/manage efforts to problem solve for drawing conflicts and coordination with project consultants, site managers, etc.
  • Manage closeout effort of the projects including commissioning, training, warranties and operation and maintenance manuals for turn over to O&M dept.


Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 4+ years track record of expertise in project management, preferably in Utility-scale renewables in Virginia/East Coast. Those with experience at general contractor will be considered.
  • Project and/or case management skills, including managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High level knowledge of solar renewable energy construction process.
  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Manage construction activities, contracts, and finances to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, P6 or similar scheduling software to create and manage critical path project schedule.
  • Manage project budget, RFI, and change order management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with contractor outreach and project estimation.
  • Manage project RFIs, manage project submittals, and deliver project updates in organized manner.
  • Coordinate project scheduling, material procurement, inspections, contractor mobilizations, etc. with construction super intendents/site managers.
  • Manage and develop direct reports if necessary.
  • Strong technical understanding of drawings and specifications such that one can add value to troubleshooting/problem solving communication with contractors and superintendents.
  • Independent thinker able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to produce error free work under deadline.
  • Team player with strong initiative, intrinsically motivated, works autonomously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, negotiating and customer service.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local communities and public officials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related or construction management field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
