Job Summary

Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors. Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process.

Job Summary

Responsible for administration of nuclear imaging procedures, calculation, diagnostic, therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, and adjunctive medications using a variety of equipment and strictly adhering to relevant safety standards. Join a great team providing outpatient anticoagulation services to the Bemidji region. This is a Monday through Friday position with no holidays or weekends. The pharmacist will primarily be responsible for staffing the anticoagulation clinic and will work closely with a team of five nurses and an ambulatory care pharmacist. Job Summary

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services for the outpatient Anticoagulation Clinic (AC). Works collaboratively with pharmacy staff, nursing staff, medical staff, and other pertinent healthcare providers to assess medication use systems, identify opportunities to improve anticoagulation use safety, and institute practice changes, as necessary. Consistently demonstrates leadership and assumes ownership for the implementation of an efficient and effective outpatient AC. Provide management of AC patients by providing follow up monitoring and necessary interventions to ensure enhanced safety and effective outcomes associated with the outpatient AC. Provides pharmaceutical care by following established standards and practices consistent with Sanford policy, regulating bodies (TJC, CMS, etc.) and professional practice standards as well as state and federal law. Must understand the role of systematic practices in leading to safe and effective patient care and have the ability to implement these practices in multiple settings. Job Summary

Respiratory Therapists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing care to our patients. We’re seeking a compassionate, patient, and problem-solving Respiratory Therapist who will take our breath away and give it back to our patients. Primary Responsibilities for Pulmonary Function Lab RT

PFL Respiratory Therapist primarily performs diagnostic tests. These tests can include spirometry, diffusion testing, lung volumes, airway resistance, respiratory muscle forces, bronchial provocation testing, asthma exercise testing, exhaled nitric oxide testing, cardiopulmonary stress testing, home oxygen evaluations, six minute walk tests, arterial blood gases and other tests that a doctor orders. In addition to testing patients, the PFL Respiratory Therapist may be asked to administer respiratory therapies and educate patients on the use of their medications and equipment. They must also be able to calibrate, clean and maintain diagnostic equipment and recognize when equipment malfunctions.

Secondary Responsibilities

PFL Respiratory Therapists spend most of their time performing noncritical testing. However, they must be prepared to respond during an emergency, such as by performing CPR. They may be asked to cross train in Pulmonary Rehab, be a student preceptor, help during new-employee orientation, prepare the next day’s schedule and insure orders are in the patient’s EMR.

Qualifications

A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or equivalent as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Respiratory Therapists must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. Demonstrates the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for quality care. Must complete orientations, competency validations, and other in-servicing as required by the department and hospital.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner. Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images. Thoroughly understand the operation of the ultrasound machine and utilize new technologies. Performs a variety of ultrasound examinations. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with patients and all organizational staff.

Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase the level of understanding and knowledge of the sonography field. Displays empathy, compassion, and integrity.

Possesses an understanding of cross-sectional anatomy. Conducts self professionally at all times, even during moments of high stress.

Assists when necessary with the maintenance of accreditation requirements and processes. Understands age-related protocols for various testing. Coordinate work with physicians or other healthcare team members, including providing assistance during invasive procedures when applicable.

Supervises and train students and medical sonographers as needed. Reports and calls in-service requests on equipment when needed.

Additionally, based on the facility, some Sanford markets/facility sites may expand job responsibilities to include echocardiography.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or a minimum of one year

equivalent work experience is preferred.

Registration in at least one of the following areas of sonography is required: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible.

Registry preferred within two years after hiring.

If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

For employees who provide outreach mobile services, maintenance of a valid driver’s license and good driving record is required. This may include passenger on flights and occasional overnight stays at assigned sites. Employees are held to the Sanford category driver's license policy and medical guidelines when applicable for job duties.
