Job Summary
Manages nursing home staff and nursing activities, including resident care and record-keeping. Manages nursing staff assigned to a particular shift within the nursing home. Takes action regarding provision of resources within the context of shifts or designated time frame. Assigns residents to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the resident's condition and the employee's skill level. Measures employee performance. Assists in the training of new staff members and the development of existing staff members. Monitors resident care areas and other nursing home facilities for cleanliness and readiness. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
For Rural Health Network facilities and Good Samaritan Society (GSS) only, employees who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree in the required field, leadership may consider an educational plan with proven continuous action toward achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing within five years of hire into position. Job Summary
Administers the nursing program in a long term care facility to maintain standards of resident care. Facilitates the optimization of the geriatric care process to improve the quality and efficiency of service. Salary and Benefits Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows: GL-5/GL-7 $49,739
- $89,518 per year Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others.
