Health Dimensions is seeking a qualified, dynamic Event Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in coordinating and managing onsite corporate health fairs, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction before, during, and after each event.

The Event Coordinator works closely with corporate hosts (HR managers) and health exhibitors to customize and execute successful onsite wellness events. This is not a remote position and requires working daily from our Carlsbad, CA office, as well as local travel to corporate event locations for day-of-event management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain close relationships with corporate hosts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating and managing research projects with external clinical research organizations and universities, including study synopsis creation, study designs, managing timelines, payment schedules, progress reporting to internal stakeholders and final consolidation of research findings for the internal and external audiences.
  • Contribute to manuscripts for publication in scientific journals when needed in collaboration with contract research organizations, the Chief Science Officer, and the scientific affairs team.
  • Support the M2 Ingredients marketing team by generating guidance documents for various product formats, customer presentations, website copy, white paper write-ups, & other research commercialization assets.
  • Generate nutrition science content and scientific communications in partnership with the cross functional team to enhance our brand presence.
  • Build external networks (key experts, allies) to scope and facilitate new studies on M2 portfolio of products that will highlight their performance, support claims and thus, create a positive impact on the business.
  • Lead grant writing to support research efforts when relevant
  • Proactively monitor the scientific literature, research and new studies in the mushroom and dietary supplements industry as it relates to our business.
  • Support the Director of Regulatory Affairs in collecting relevant data, as required, for regulatory submissions. This would include sample management, sample submissions to labs and collation of data.
  • Respond to questions from internal teams and customers on synopsis of key research studies carried out, and their impact on product claims, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc./ Ph.D. in Preventative Health, Toxicology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or other relevant fields
  • At least 5 yrs of experience in a scientific affairs role in the food or dietary supplement industry

Duties and Responsibilities As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000 workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.

Qualifications You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops mechanical design of medical devices and combination products of varying complexity.
  • Works closely with clients and internal teams in electrical engineering, software, manufacturing, and quality to develop products from concept through transfer to manufacturing
  • Translates user and stakeholder needs into clear design requirements. Collect design inputs from clients, end users, and human factors engineering
  • Generate designs for medical device and combination devices, components, and assemblies, including 3D CAD, engineering drawings, and specifications. Leverages tools and techniques common to the practice of mechanical engineering, and applies industry standards and practices
  • Working closely with project management, ensures adherence to project timelines while maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. May act as project manager and/or technical lead for smaller, technically oriented projects

  • Supports winning new business by contributing to detailed engineering proposals in conjunction with Business Development and Project Management. Leverages experience and judgement to provide estimates of time and material for all phases of the design lifecycle
  • Conducts testing for engineering feasibiilty and design verification. Draft test plans and protocols, designs test fixtures and tools, performs testing, and analyzes results
  • Participates in design reviews to ensure high-quality designs that comply with regulatory requirements
  • Conducts root-cause analysis investigations to support design and process troubleshooting
  • Conducts engineering analysis to inform designs and determine specifications, including tolerance analysis, structural analysis, thermal and fluid analysis, etc., and generates reports summarizing findings. May use computational methods and tools to assist in analysis
  • Selects and evaluates appropriate materials to meet design requirements
  • Optimizes designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability


Skills/Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent technical degree
  • 1+ years relevant working experience in product development, 2+ preferred. Medical device or combination product experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to find creative solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Can distill complex problems into discrete, well-defined tasks and drive to completion
  • Ability to interpret and apply GD&T to engineering designs
  • Experience with design for various manufacturing processes, including injection molding, machining, sheet metal, etc. Experience with injection molding plastics and silicones highly desired
  • Familiar with standards applicable to the engineering discipline and medical device industry (ASME,ISO, AAMI, IEC, etc.)
  • Experience with product development within a regulated industry. Familiarity with medical device regulations (FDA, ISO, etc) highly desired.
  • Experience working with 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., Solidworks). Familiarity with PDM and PLM software desired.
  • Experience with hands-on fabrication using machine tools, hand tools, and rapid prototyping processes.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Communicates effectively with engineers, leaders, clients, partners, and vendors

Duties

  • Customer & Sales Coordination
  • Serve as a main point of contact for customers β€” responding to inquiries, pricing requests, and order updates.

Technical & Inside Engineering Support

  • Interpret customer specs and part numbers to ensure order accuracy.
  • Assist in selecting and configuring components under guidance from senior staff.
  • Maintain bill of materials (BOMs) and customer order documentation.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or technical distribution.
  • Comfortable discussing basic mechanical or electrical product details (training provided).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
  • Dependable, personable, and motivated to learn.
  • Able to lift or move up to 30 lbs. (with assistance).
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
