The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai South Nassau is seeking a full-time Urogynecologist to join its team on Long Island, New York!

The Department consists of over 40 full-time and voluntary board-certified physicians providing care to the diverse community. As a member of the of the MSHS and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we are able to offer the professional benefits of a major academic/research medical center. With over 2400 deliveries per year, the Department supports 16 residents in a four-year residency program and an active teaching program for third-year medical students. All OB/GYN sub-specialties are represented in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

We are seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Physicians in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery who can provide consistent, compassionate, high-quality, safe and patient-centric care, personalized to each patient. The successful candidate will possess clinical abilities as demonstrated through training, education, certification and experience, strong interpersonal communication, leadership and organizational skills, embrace the teaching mission of the MSSN. The candidate must have or be able to obtain a valid New York State Medical License.

The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to partner with the world renowned, Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinai South Nassau’s Department of OBGYN is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care. Responsibilities

  5. Selection of candidates for admission to the program, in accordance with policies of ISMMS and MSSN.

  6. Assessment of performance of each resident through a well-organized program of in training evaluation. This will include the final evaluation at the end of the program as required by the ACGME. 

  7. Maintenance of an appeal mechanism. The Residency Program Committee should receive, and review appeals from residents following the appropriate promotion, dismissal and grievance policy. 

  8. Supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff members at the primary teaching institutions as well as additional institutions/private practices that may participate in the residency program..

  9. Gathering and reporting complete and accurate information as requested by the accrediting, licensure, certification and funding agencies. 

  10. Assuring compliance with institutional and accrediting agency requirements and appropriate notification of major programmatic changes and obtaining approval from GMEC prior to their implementation.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens is a member of the New York City Health + Hospitals public hospital system and is located in one of the most ethnically diverse communities in New York. The Department of Pediatrics is made up of a busy Ambulatory Pediatric Service with many innovative primary care programs – including integrated behavioral health, integrated preventive dentistry, a Pediatric Healthy Lifestyles Program, Healthy Steps, Reach Out & Read, Centering and the Video Interaction Project; a Center for Child Development; a Level III NICU and a Mother-Baby Unit with 1300 deliveries a year. The hospital has been designated Baby Friendly since the Spring of 2014.
Responsibilities include direct patient care, quality improvement activities, collaborating with the Chief of Adolescent Medicine to build patient-centered services around healthy lifestyles and young adult pre-conception health, reproductive health and behavioral health – as well as with the greater team on providing comprehensive pediatric primary care services that promote health and wellness over the life course. We provide long acting reversible contraception as part of our adolescent services. There are a wide variety of opportunities for program development and academic advancement as well as teaching of students and adult primary care residents. NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program as a designated Health Manpower Shortage Area for Primary Care. The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H+H/Queens, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible complex family planning physician and researcher with global health interest.
The position includes 80-90% full-time equivalent in clinical service, including 40% complex family planning, 40% (GYN surgery, Obstetrical services including management of Labor and Delivery and outpatient services). Additionally, 10-20% full-time equivalent will be dedicated to global and community health research and program development. This position includes teaching responsibility for Residents and Fellows.
This position includes faculty appointments with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, and the Department of Global Health and Health System Design, commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. The Department of Global Health and Health System Design collaborates closely with Queens Hospital on care, research and education initiatives as part of the global-local NYC Partnership. They also partner with academic institutions in Kenya, Nepal, Ghana and Guyana. Our hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island. This position requires current New York State License, Medicaid number and DEA number in order to practice medicine.

New York City Health + Hospitals|Elmhurst affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a part time Physiatrist in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. The Physiatrist will primarily run general rehab outpatient clinics.

The candidate will be responsible for running the outpatient rehabilitation clinics. The applicant will perform inpatient consultations and oversee adult bedside consultations as needed. Weekend calls to cover consultations one Saturday a month.

Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number.

We also offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.
