Pathways, Training & Advancement Recruit Training followed by Naval Aircrew Candidate School in Pensacola; Rescue Swimmer preparatory and Rescue Swimmer School for those in that specialty; Class A School in an assigned aircrew rating pipeline such as AWF, AWO, AWR, AWS, or AWV; Fleet Replacement Squadron training and survival, evasion, resistance, and escape instruction; ongoing qualification and advanced training in diving, rescue, and mission systems throughout the career.

Enlist under an advanced technical field or Warrior Challenge style contract that specifies the aircrew, rescue swimmer, or diver training pipeline; qualified Fleet Sailors may volunteer and request conversion into aircrew or diving roles after screening, physical testing, and command endorsement.

Qualifications All Navy jobs require meeting general enlistment or commissioning standards, which typically include: Eligibility to serve in the United States Navy, which may involve United States citizenship or other legal residency and work status, depending on the program and current law and policy A high school diploma or equivalent for enlisted positions, and a bachelor's or qualifying professional degree for officer positions Meeting age limits that vary by program and are set in law and Navy policy.

Position Summary

Much of OBI’s work lies at the intersection of policy, communications and coalition building. OBI’s work spans an array of issues and requires the coordination of a number of projects, stakeholders and moving parts. This project manager position will act as a key utility player within the OBI team, providing critical support to the team via the external affairs portfolio through project management, policy and political event management, strategic communications support and the execution of other organizational priorities, initiatives and tasks.

The project manager reports to the vice president for external affairs and works closely with all members of the OBI team. The project manager must think strategically and creatively to solve problems, identify new opportunities and drive initiatives to advance the work of OBI. The project manager will represent OBI in a variety of settings and must be comfortable working both collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities and Duties

The following is an illustrative, not exhaustive, list of responsibilities and duties for the project manager:

• Coordinate specific externally focused events such as, but not limited to, issue specific policy summits, targeted webinars or others as assigned and in coordination with the events manager, external affairs vice president, related policy directors and other appropriate personnel.
• Manage specific projects arising in partnership with the OBI Research and Education Foundation projects as they arise, including things such as, but not limited, the Oregon Civics Bee, issue specific reports and studies, and publications/information dissemination. Included in this work will be fundraising support.
• Coordinate with and support OBI’s communications team to ensure creative, effective and timely dissemination of relevant information.
• Proactive ideation on possible communications strategies, external engagement opportunities and other tools and venues that advance OBI’s mission.
• Monitor resources offered by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Retail Federation, National Association of Manufacturers and other national, regional and local partners for opportunities for collaboration and/or duplication of successful programs.
• Support the OBI Small Business Council.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• General understanding of state government structures and political systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proven track record of project management.
• Ability to build and lead coalitions, stakeholder groups or similar.
• Keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with commonly used technology platforms, such as the Microsoft Office suite of products and Zoom.

Position Location

OBI has offices in both Salem and Portland. The qualified candidate will be assigned to one of those locations. The opportunity for some hybrid/remote work at the direction of the positions supervisor exists pursuant to OBI’s workplace policies and when projects and schedules allow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Initiates the admission process by obtaining provider orders upon patient arrival at a residential facility and completing the initial nursing assessment within 24 hours, including assistance with medical intake (patient history and physical).
2. Performs vital sign monitoring, including orthostatic vitals and blind weights as ordered by the provider; conducts patient assessments and documents findings in detailed nursing notes.

6. Ensures accurate placement of medications in the designated medication box and updates the medication administration record (MAR) accordingly.
7. Supports patients in obtaining medications from the pharmacy, including facilitating initial medication orders.
8. Coordinates and facilitates the collection of laboratory specimens as ordered, ensures timely receipt of results, and communicates findings to the medical team for appropriate follow-up.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates knowledge of medication actions, side effects, and contraindications, and is responsible for researching unfamiliar medications prior to administration to ensure safe and informed care.
2. Collects and records data in a comprehensive, accurate, and systematic manner.
3. Responsible for maintaining patients’ records updated in electronic system.
4. Supports a therapeutic milieu by monitoring patient behaviors, fostering a recovery-focused environment, and collaborating with the treatment team to reinforce structure, safety, and consistency.
5. Communicates relevant information obtained from patients or families to the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care planning and treatment continuity.
6. Coordinates with the Primary Therapist on any insurance review information needed.
7. Works collaboratively with medical and psychiatric teams to provide integrated nursing care in support of eating disorder treatment goals.
8. Participates in discharge planning with the medical and psychiatric teams to ensure continuity of care and safe transition from eating disorder treatment.
9. Attend monthly nurse-led meetings and other team meetings as they arise to support effective communication and collaboration.
10. Provides health education to patients through individual or group sessions when appropriate and documents sessions clearly, accurately, and concisely using the designated form.
11. Assist patients in the coordination of their outpatient appointments as needed.
12. Supports the informed consent process by helping patients understand procedures and treatments under the direction of the provider.
13. Knows Baker Act (Florida Only)
14. Delivers clinical nursing care in a safe, competent, and professional manner in accordance with established standards and protocols.
15. Adheres to established standards of nursing practice and organizational policies.
16. Completes required onboarding and annual training within designated timeframes and attends monthly clinical services training or other training as scheduled, in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
17. Demonstrates professionalism and serves as a positive role model for patients and staff within the therapeutic environment.
18. Promptly reports suspected patient rights violations by established protocols.
19. In an emergency or declared state of emergency, it may be required to stay on-site as a part of the emergency team until the emergency has ended.
