Manufacturing Operator

Summary: Location: Parsippany, NJ Duration: 12 Months Shift: 2nd Shift
- Tool Crib Attendant Responsibilities: Provide general warehouse support, including operating equipment, replenishing and distributing inventory, picking, packing, and shipping of inbound and outbound shipments, and handling material.
Prepare bills of lading for freight carriers, assist in loading trucks, and obtain signatures on shipments.
Count and record material to ensure accuracy of shipment and receipt; perform related duties as required.
Receive, store, and issue equipment, material, supplies, and tools; compile records in stock and tool crib.
Process and deliver receiver paperwork to Purchasing daily.
Count and sort incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices; examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
Store items in bins, shelves, trays, or on the floor according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
Fill orders or issue supplies; prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock and tools.
Requisition articles to fill inventories of items.
Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on tools and articles.
Compile reports on the use of stock, tools, adjustment of inventory counts, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location.
Organize tools, including identification and storage location, and verify all tool components.
Maintain records of tools and uniforms issued to and returned by workers.
Compile and maintain all necessary paperwork and files in the stock room and tool crib.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED.
One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills: Physical activity required, including bending, reaching, lifting, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
May lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work overtime, including occasional weekend shifts.
Willingness to wear personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
Preferred Skills: Experience operating power tool equipment, including but not limited to cherry picker, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.
Working knowledge of scanning equipment, internal database tracking system, dollies, and carts.
Proficiency with MS Office Programs.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
Ability to follow written instructions and take verbal instructions for multiple assembly tasks in a manufacturing shop environment.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other staff members.
Able to work with computerized shop floor tools.
