Position Overview:
Account Managers work directly with the client and agency teams to lead projects from beginning to end while fostering relationships internally and externally. The idea is that someone looking at the AM or Sr. AM role has some project management experience but wants project ownership and client engagement development opportunities.
The AM or Sr. AM will handle the day-to-day operations of agency projects, including managing tasks, creative briefings, development of project objectives, timelines and job execution. They are responsible for client contact, management of calls and status meetings, organizing information shared by and with the client, ensuring agency procedures are followed and managing expectations for project delivery. This person will be responsible for leading small to medium-sized projects and acting as day-to-day support on larger strategic projects.
Theyβll serve a vital role in ensuring seamless and timely delivery of all work to the client and ensuring that all supporting internal teams have what they need to be successful. This candidate must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and managing 4 to 8 clients at a time.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day client contact
- Directs team in execution of client project deliverables while understanding the client's brand
- Project & Timeline Management
- Managing budgets & hours
- Using project management software (Ex. Teamwork)
- Regularly meets with and informs leadership on status of projects/clients
- Maintains and grows knowledge of clientsβ business and industry
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent in a related field
- Two to four years of agency and/or client-side experience
- Detail-oriented and a strong communicator
- Team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience managing projects, timelines and internal teams
- Is able to think and operate strategically, with a clients brand in mind
- Ability to βmanage upβ, knowing when to escalate internal and/or client concerns
- First in last out mentality, committed to pushing hard and seeing every task through to completion successfully
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
