• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

Qualifications

• A bachelors degree from an accredited university in Facility Management, Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural), or another related field. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience managing and operating facilities and systems of similar size, scope and complexity

Step into Your New Role

As a Construction Inspector-Senior, you will perform general construction inspection tasks to verify compliance standards codes, and ordinances, zoning regulations, as well as contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. Projects will consist of bridges, roadways, and environmental components to these services. This position is available in Northern Virginia, Richmond, Lynchburg, Christiansburg, and Hampton Roads areas of VA.

The Details:

• Location: Fairfax City, VA (100% On-Site in a quiet, professional office)
• Schedule: Part-Time (28 hours/week). Highly flexible! We prefer Monday–Thursday, ~9:15 AM – 4:15 PM, but the schedule can be easily adjusted to accommodate childcare or other personal needs.
• Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire
• Compensation: $25/hour
• Perks: A very sweet Bedlington Terrier visits the office 1–2 days a week!

What You'll Do:

• Finalize, format, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence (heavy Microsoft Word use).
• Manage court filings and coordinate outgoing mail.
• Handle monthly client invoicing using TimeSlips (daily time entry and drafting monthly bills).
• Provide general administrative support and warmly greet clients (Note: The attorney handles all new client intake!).

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of law firm experience (Litigation experience is strongly preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong document formatting skills.
• A reliable, empathetic, and coachable professional looking for a long-term work home.
• Note: The office has a staircase, so comfortable navigation of stairs is required to access files and supplies.
