Overview:

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
- Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
- Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
- Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
- Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma, G.E.D. and enrolled in an approved or accredited nursing program. The Medical Assistant will perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. LPN:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN.) performs duties within the scope of practice as defined by the Missouri Nurse Practice Act requiring all nursing care shall be given under the direction of a person licensed by a state regulatory board to prescribe medications and treatments or under the direction of a registered professional nurse, physician, or nurse practitioner. The LPN performs duties for the promotion of health and in the care of persons who are ill, injured, or experiencing alterations in normal health processes.

MA:
- Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
- Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
- Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.

- Maintain and coordinate communication among patient, staff, and physician as evidenced within medical record, client, and health care team feedback.
- Report patient needs/programs and observations regarding patientβs condition to the physician.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team in coordination of the patientβs care as evidenced by other department feedback.
- Participates in staff development programs.
