Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift {167361}

FORKLIFT OPERATOR – 2ND SHIFT Location: Plainfield, IN Pay: $20.75/hr + OT as needed Shift: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM, Friday-Sunday GENERAL SUMMARY The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate movement, loading, and unloading of products within the distribution center.
This role ensures inventory accuracy, prevents product damage, and supports efficient warehouse operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process customer orders, including scanning barcodes, picking, labeling, and staging pallets.
Operate material handling equipment (MHE) including Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker.
Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments utilizing the WMS system.
Report discrepancies between inventory counts and shipping/receiving documents.
Locate and retrieve products and replenish picking locations as needed.
Follow all safety protocols and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) per SOPs.
Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area at all times.
Complete C2C training modules and participate in Hazmat and safety training as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience operating material handling equipment; multiple pieces preferred (Reach Trucks, Counterbalance, Dock Stocker).
Ability to obtain forklift certification.
Proficient in reading and interpreting distribution documents.
Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
General warehouse/distribution knowledge.
Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
Must wear safety shoes and vest at all times.
Background (BG) and drug testing (DT) clearance required prior to submission.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Frequently walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, and repetitive hand motions.
Occasionally climbing.
May lift over 50 lbs in certain areas.
Normal vision (corrected to 20/40) and sufficient hearing required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Moderate to loud noise levels.
Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and occasional fumes/airborne particles.
Temperature-controlled warehouse environment with consistent conditions year-round.
