About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in South Boston, VA. This role is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations and ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The Production Supervisor will lead a team, monitor workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact plant success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery.
- Monitor workflow, staffing, and production schedules to meet company objectives.
- Enforce compliance with SOPs and production standards; identify and implement process improvements.
- Lead, train, and mentor team members to maximize performance and engagement.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures; conduct safety meetings, training, and inspections.
- Track and report KPIs such as output, efficiency, and downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reliability, and effectiveness.
- Oversee proper use and maintenance of equipment; train employees on inspections and handling.
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure timely reporting of issues to minimize downtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Administer and manage all HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee records.
- Serve as primary administrator for ADP (Workforce Now / TotalSource / Run), including payroll processing coordination, employee changes, reporting, and audits.
- Ensure accurate employee data management, compliance documentation, and record retention.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and systems access.
- Manage employee benefits administration including enrollments, changes, COBRA coordination, and annual open enrollment.
- Assist with compensation administration, bonuses, merit increases, and employment verifications.
Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, Texas labor laws).
- Maintain employee handbook, HR policies, and procedures; recommend updates as laws or company needs change.
- Serve as point of contact for employee relations matters, questions, and concerns with professionalism and discretion.
- Support investigations, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations in coordination with leadership and legal counsel as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
Recruiting & Performance Support
- Coordinate recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer letters.
- Support performance review cycles, goal tracking, and documentation.
- Assist leadership with workforce planning, organizational changes, and HR reporting.
Reporting & Projects
- Prepare HR, payroll, and compliance reports using ADP and internal systems.
- Support audits, insurance renewals, and benefits reconciliations.
- Assist with special HR projects, process improvements, and system implementations.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Required: Demonstrated hands-on experience using ADP payroll and HR systems.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and payroll processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for coordination and conditioning of the commercial rental tool pool. You will coordinate with customer support and technical experts to create optimal tool kits for rental to external customers. You will be responsible to transact all returns of rental tools to include ensuring inspections are complete and tool is reconditioned and returned to the shelf ready for issue to the next customer.
