Donnellan Law, PLLC is a family and matrimonial law firm located in Ballston Spa, New York. We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant/Paralegal who has demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. We are looking for candidates who can work both collaboratively and independently, and who have the ability to multitask.

The ideal Legal Assistant/Paralegal candidate is a team player who has experience in assisting attorneys with clerical and administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence and legal documents, maintaining client files, communication with clients, courts, and other attorneys, and scheduling appointments.

Education, Experience & Skills

• Associate's degree and/or 1-3 years' experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or other administrative professional in a law firm or legal services agency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel, Adobe, and office equipment such as scanners, printers, copiers, and fax machines.
• Demonstrated experience working with confidential documents.
• A paralegal or legal assistant degree or certificate preferred.
• Experience working in a family law firm or family legal services agency preferred.
• Experience working with legal case management systems preferred.
• Knowledge of New York State e-filing systems preferred.
• Notary Public license preferred.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Communicate with clients, other attorneys, and the Courts.
• Draft correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, opposing parties, the Courts, and/or attorneys.
• Prepare and organize legal documents.
• E-file legal documents on behalf of attorneys.
• Input billing information into legal case management system.
• Assist attorneys with scheduling appointments with clients, attorneys, and other parties.
• Copy, print, scan, and fax documents.
• Proofread documents and correspondence.
• Meet with clients to sign legal documents.
• Assist with answering phones, processing client payments, sorting mail, legal case management system data entry, and other tasks as needed.

Prominent national firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney for their expanding federal Workers' Compensation Defense practice. You will assist with litigating complex cases under the Defense Base Act (DBA). Prior Workers' Compensation or DBA experience is NOT required.

Our client, a well-regarded regional defense firm, is seeking a General Liability Trial Attorney to join their Westchester, NY team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ of general liability or construction litigation experience. Candidates should have 1st or 2nd chair jury trial defense experience. Team lead experience is preferred, not required.

The St. Peter’s ALS Center has a rewarding , unique and challenging opportunity for a RN Manager to lead the Center, caring for an average of 90 patients with ALS and their families across a 90-mile radius.

The St. Peter’s ALS Center provides a wide range of services and supports, including individual assessment and treatment programming, consultation, nursing case management , visits with our team at our Albany-based clinic, home visits by team members, individual and family counseling, medical and communication equipment available on loan, volunteer support, patient and caregiver support groups, and more! Many of our services are not reimbursed by insurance, making fundraising a key component of the role, working in close collaboration with our Center for Philanthropy. Our Center’s hours are Monday to Friday 8:45 am to 5:00 pm; our Center is closed on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• As the manager, you will bring your passion and energy to juggle a diverse range of job responsibilities-staffing, quality programming, financial management and budgeting, establishment and sustainment of community relationships, fundraising, public speaking , and rolling up your sleeves to help with patient care as needed
• Assists our ALS Center nursing team with intake, admissions, community education and case management as well as Magnet certification.

Requirements:

• New York State RN License.
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Pay Range: $87,360-$115,356 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
