A large department of approximately 100 employees, the department is structured in a programmatic approach, which places physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists working together with the same patient population. Responsibilities

The CVOR is a Level 1 STEMI and Trauma Center, providing surgical care to adult patients. We have 6 Operating Rooms (including one hybrid OR and 1 peripheral vascular lab) with 2 specialty teams, Vascular Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. We perform open, minimally invasive and robotic cardiothoracic surgeries and perform a wide variety of vascular surgeries and interventions. Our training for nurses includes orientation to both the circulating and scrub roles at Mercy.

Job Summary
Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to prepare financials and financial analysis reports to analyze the financial costs of risk and uncertainty .Evaluation, originality and ingenuity are required to locate, select and apply appropriate procedures, processes and techniques to specific assignments. • Prepare plan design alternatives for pension and post-retirement medical plans
• Prepare and present key findings to clients
• Perform project tasks independently

Education/Previous Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field, single employer and multiemployer pension plan actuary experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other business related field
Licenses/Certifications
• FSA, ASA, and/or EA actuarial designation
• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries preferred
