Senior Litigation Attorney (10+ Years) | Planned Succession Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned litigation attorney (10+ years) to step into a planned retirement transition at a well-established law firm.

The retiring attorney will be involved in the training and handoff to the new incoming litigation supervisor.

Why This Role Is Different

This is a rare opportunity to:

  • Inherit established, recurring client relationships
  • Grow strategically rather than rebuild from scratch
  • Transition into a leadership role without legacy friction

We are looking for a litigator who sees the next decade as a platform-building phase, not just “another job.”

Practice Focus

The ideal candidate has deep experience in one or more of the following:

  • Business & commercial litigation
  • Real estate disputes
  • Employment defense (single-plaintiff and/or wage & hour)

Portable business is welcome and rewarded but not required. What matters most is credibility, judgment, and the ability to steward long-standing client relationships.

What You’ll Have

  • A planned, supported retirement transition
  • Clients who already expect—and welcome—you
  • Freedom to grow the practice in ways that align with your strengths
  • No pressure to replicate someone else’s style or book
  • A collaborative firm that values autonomy and professionalism
  • Technology forward environment that encourages work life balance

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Strong client-facing presence and strategic thinking
  • California bar admission
  • Law-firm background (this is not a fit for attorneys maintaining a separate practice)

The Right Fit

This role is ideal for:

  • A senior associate or counsel ready for a bigger seat
  • A small-firm litigator looking for infrastructure and growth runway
  • A trial-tested attorney seeking long-term stability with upside

All inquiries are handled confidentially.
