•  Day Shift: Mon-Fri (8:30am-5:00pm) with call rotation
• Weekend Call - every 3-4 weeks (depending on staffing); with average of 2-4 days each month during the week

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at hospitals and physician practices to offer recommendations and ensure optimal patient outcomes

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
• 2 years or more experience
• Current MO Pharmacist License (RPh)
• Medication Therapy Services (MTS) – Have currently or able to obtain

Experience:

• 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience (highly preferred)
• Experience in one of the following areas: Home Infusion Pharmacist; Home Infusion Clinical Pharmacist; Admissions Home Infusion Pharmacist

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is recruiting a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to support the Heart Center. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, daytime position supporting both the Cardiac ICU and Cardiac Step Down Units on a rotating basis.

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will provide pharmaceutical services to patients in the Heart Center and cultivate relationships with medical and nursing staff to provide timely drug information and promote adherence to regulatory standards. They will individualize medication regimens using sound principles, accounting for pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic variations in drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination with responsibility for establishing and continually improving the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within areas of direct responsibility and assisting others in the pharmacy department with the same. The clinical pharmacy specialist will also participate in the training of pharmacy students, staff, and pharmacy residents.

 Minimum requirements:

- Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy

-  Licensed pharmacist in state of Missouri

-  Board certification within 2 years of starting position

• The Medical Assistant is an unlicensed medical professional cross-trained to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the medical centers running smoothly.   • A minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic required

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required

  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus

  • EMR system experience preferred
