About Baptist Medical Center Clay
Baptist Medical Center Clay is located on 32 acres at U.The facility opened in May 2013 to bring the high-quality care of Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Baptist Health to residents of Clay County. The Baptist/Wolfson Children’s Emergency Center, which is open 24 hours a day, has 16 treatment rooms, a separate waiting room for children, child-specific medical equipment and imaging capabilities, a LifeFlight helipad and an on-site ambulance. Pediatric emergency medicine physicians affiliated with Wolfson Children’s Hospital are also available during peak hours daily from 10 a.m. The campus’s three-story Medical Office Building also houses the Wolfson Children’s Specialty Center on the first floor. As a newborn hearing screen technician, you will provide hearing screens in the hospital after a baby is born. You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss. At Pediatrix, you will receive on-the-job training. This includes annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. By offering this certification, we strive to ensure our employees are adept in improving early detection of hearing impairments and encouraging timely intervention. HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital
Responsibilities
On a typical day, you will conduct newborn hearing screens, usually in a new mom's hospital room, and help educate parents about the importance of the screen using video and printed tools we provide. You will also be in charge of entering patient data and validation of hearing screens, as needed. Additional responsibilities may include helping to confirm or reschedule outpatient appointments, following up on any equipment issues and training new staff.
- Performing newborn hearing screens
- Verifying insurance information with parent/guardian
- Documenting hearing screen results accurately
- Following protocol for timely submission of billing
- Following protocol related to security and identification of infants
- Following infection control, safety awareness and other hospital, company, and program policies
- Recognizing potential problems and obtaining assistance, when necessary, in a timely manner
- Completion of company and hospital orientation or classes, including patient privacy training
- Completion and maintenance of employee health requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants preferred
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required

Responsibilities:As a Therapist - Be Part of Our Growing Team:
- Evaluate, Diagnose & Treat a Variety of Mental Health Areas
- Utilize EHR & Technology Platforms within the role
- Active License (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LISW) in the State of Delivering Care
The salary range posted is an estimate based on the average earnings of our current clinicians. Actual income may vary depending on factors such as production model results, hours worked, ramp-up time, and individual experience and licensure. Final compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
