Job Details Job Details: We are seeking an experienced Consulting Copy of Special Education Teacher for our healthcare team.

This unique role combines the expertise of special education with the healthcare industry, providing a unique intersection of two critical fields.

This role will require a deep understanding of special education principles and practices, as well as a knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching, specifically with students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or vision impaired.

This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in teaching or a related field.

Responsibilities: 1.

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs within the healthcare setting.

2.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and students to create supportive and inclusive learning environments.

3.

Apply instructional strategies and techniques to facilitate learning and skill development.

4.

Assess students' abilities and progress through formal and informal methods.

5.

Provide consultation and coaching to healthcare staff on best practices for supporting students with special needs.

6.

Advocate for the educational needs of students within the healthcare setting.

7.

Continually update and improve curriculum and teaching methods based on current research and best practices in special education and healthcare.

8.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education in healthcare settings.

Qualifications: 1.

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.

2.

Valid teaching certification in Special Education.

3.

Additional certifications as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Teacher of the Vision Impaired are highly desirable.

4.

Experience working with students with a variety of special needs, including those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or vision impaired.

5.

Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques for students with special needs.

6.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

7.

Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

8.

Ability to adapt and respond effectively to change and challenges.

9.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current in the field of special education and healthcare.

RCM Health Care Services are hiring Clinical Fellows (CFYs) that can work in a pediatric setting in all 5 boroughs of NYC to provide speech-language therapy. Our pediatric settings consist of DOE Schools and Therapy Clinics. We have full-time, part-time, and weekend work for all settings. We also have ongoing, contract, and coverage assignments available.



Experienced and new graduate providers, and providers that need sponsorship are welcomed. We have a wonderful mentorship program and clinical supervisors that are eager to assist you.



Clinical Fellowship Year Responsibilities
