- Provides direct patient care services. Elicits detailed patient histories, assesses patient medical needs, initiates appropriate diagnostic testing and/or treatment and completes appropriate medical record documentation.
- Screens patients for appropriateness for cardiac testing.
- Supervises exercise and pharmacological stress tests.
- Make use of evidence-based medicine procedures by utilizing quality and cost-effective care
- Performs other procedure related tasks in Cardiology.
- Follow-up care.
- Assists Physicians with hospital rounding as necessary. Provides help with on-call duties.
- Qualifications
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with licensure in good standing in the State of Rhode Island
- 3 years of experience preferred; will consider new grads.
- Must also hold BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association.
