Interventional Radiology, RN - PRN Day Shift - Mon -Fri with Call Requirement
The Opportunity:
Saint Luke's East Hospital, located in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This location is seeking nurses with experience with higher acuity patients (Intensive Care, ED, procedural areas) to join our Interventional Radiology team. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in your career, experiencing new procedures and clinical research. This IR - Special Procedures nurse position is a vital team member in providing care and sedation for organ biopsies, acute pulmonary and arterial thrombectomies, embolectomies, drain placements, port and dialysis catheter placements as well as other procedures. This position is in a busy, very unique procedural area caring for Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology patients. Duties involve prepping and recovering cardiac cath patients, working within the Interventional Radiology lab during procedures, providing nursing care, including moderate sedation when needed, for procedures performed within the CVIR Holding/Recovery unit, such as TEE/Cardioversions, bronchoscopy, etc; Additional duties include providing nursing care in other areas of Radiology during invasive procedures, such as CT and US Guided Biopsies, monitoring for MRI pacemaker studies, starting IV's as needed for staff.
Shift Details: FT, Days This position also requires that you participate in after hours and holiday on call rotation.
