Job Purpose

The Delivery Engineering Group conducts Discrete-Event Simulation studies for Delivery impact analysis of mass-pro Run-Rate and/or E-flow Investment change-points for NM, Layout Inno/Renovation, and Capacity changes for manufacturing regionally across North America.

Key Accountabilities
  • Conduct mass production run-rate analysis studies utilizing Discrete Event Simulation and
  • Data Analytics & Statistical tools to support Delivery run-rate target achievement in North America Weld and Assembly depts as part of BP theme activity.

Job Purpose:

The Specialist coordinates activities across multiple divisions and stakeholders to drive specification standardization across indirect categories to support Honda Motor’s business transformation and sustainability initiatives.  

This position plays a key role in optimizing procurement processes, reducing complexity, and enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple spend categories.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

Stakeholder Management
• Facilitate collaboration between internal (NAIP) and external stakeholders through Specification Development Council forums to align standardization objectives, goals, plans, and outcomes.

Data Analysis and Reporting
• Analyze spend, usage patterns, and SKU proliferation to identify duplication and rationalization opportunities.
• Partner with data and analytics teams to develop dashboards, reports, and tools to support ongoing standardization tracking.

Continuous Improvement
• Research, identify, analyze, and implement improvement opportunities across end-to-end specification standardization processes and other NAIP-related initiatives.

Change Management

Minimum Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB PURPOSE:

Job Purpose

To contribute to the development of functioning prototypes that will eventually become production ATV/SxS vehicles, researching and applying new technologies to support business targets and maintaining global vehicle product quality.

Key Accountabilities

Develop basic component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using computer-aided design software that achieve concept targets, function requirements, and manufacturing requisites with minimal supervision. Communicate specification requirements and manufacturing control points via prototype and production drawings that result in setting the final specifications of global ATV & SxS new models and mass production vehicles. Maintain accurate technical, development, and administrative documentation as required.

Adhere to given cost targets for responsible parts that contribute to achievement of the vehicle development targets and achieve the cost targets through optimizing basic part/system designs and offsetting any spec changes after target fix through implementation of additional cost reduction ideas.

Create and manage schedule of individual work to ensure deadlines are met, coordinate resource needs with supervisor, and effectively utilize contractor resources with minimal supervision. Consistently communicate project status and participate in project meetings, discussions, and development events.

Generate basic ideas that contribute to the evolution of new technologies. Support maturation of ideas to prepare for development applications with minimal supervision.

Support market quality themes under the direction of others. Utilize problem-solving methods to analyse root causes. Develop and implement C/M specs as necessary with minimal supervision.

Job Purpose

 

Be the liaison between Project Execution’s new model team and the Department. Lead/coordinate new model event support and report on new model readiness through trial stages and mass production.
 

 

Key Accountabilities 

 

Lead New Model Trials:

  • Create training strategy for new model change points.
  • Identify and document trial problems and discuss countermeasures.
  • Communicate initial issues from build events within the department as well as outside of the department.
  • Inform team members and other departments of project change points.
  • Support quality problems and recommend countermeasures before mass production.
  • Coordinate with the Project Execution team of any design updates that are needed.


New Model Start-Up and Mass Production:

  • Ensure project remains on schedule.
  • Respond immediately to complex issues during production.
  • Utilize necessary tools to understand root causes and implement containment.
  • Create problem summary and reflect on mass production issues.
  • Inspect product and new model development (e.g., check tolerances, fixtures, parts, etc.)
  • Update and track items; create problem summary and reflect on mass production issues.
  • Conduct mass production audits for problem prevention.
  • Conduct testing/sampling for quality verification.
  • Ensure all system readiness is completed within the department. 
  • Report on overall readiness to the plant. 
     

New Model Design and Study Support:

  • Be the liaison between Project Execution and the Paint Department.
  • Coordinate department support for new model studies.
  • Provide feedback to the new model team on department characteristics and current struggles points.
  • Provide reflections to help the new model team drive changes in the design.

Job Purpose

The Electrical Controls Design role provides high quality, reasonably priced, on-time hardware, software, and safety design solutions to ensure stable new model and new technology introduction in all HDMA North American manufacturing facilities.

Key Accountabilities

• Work in an engineering team atmosphere understand design requirements to create/modify automated production equipment.

• Conduct electrical controls design for automated equipment to generate hardware drawings to be used to assemble/build/wire a full controls system for production equipment

• Conduct electrical design to produce engineering software to create the control architecture for production equipment processes. (i.e. PLC, HMI, Motion Control, and Robotic programming).

•Provide on-site support to install, system up, and mature the control system for production equipment.

• Create and maintain a critical path schedule for work assignments to produce the control system design deliverables to achieve the overall project milestones for small to medium projects/ low to medium complexity.

•Conduct and attend design reviews to ensure design standards are achieved and design meets specification requirements for work assignment deliverables.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications

4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or 2-year Electrical-related degree with additional work experience.

Job Purpose

Lead and manage the commodity desk from a Q/C/D/Strategic perspective. Create strategies, identify improvement opportunities, communicate effectively, gather necessary resources, assign tasks, and implement the strategy. Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute overall RM commodity strategy for responsible material/ commodity considering production volumes, part specification requirements, and capacity analytics. Strategy includes annual cost reduction to achieve company targets and initiatives.
  • Provide technical know-how related to raw material Q and D issues by working with stakeholders.
  • Lead supplier negotiations of cost; ensuring best practice is utilized to achieve Honda’s cost target, develop and recommend opportunities to reduce cost based on the market and overall strategy, Pricing Management – develop and lead cost optimization based on usage, supplier QCDD performance, and material chemistry.
  • Lead supply chain projects and C/D themes by working with HTA, Honda lants and suppliers; communicate across the organization to secure support and resources to execute strategies.
  • Supplier Management - Development of supplier performance goals, evaluation of supplier performance and recommendation on supplier improvement plans where applicable.
  • Continuing education to support technical know-how (attend events/QAV’s etc).
  • Mentor associate within team on technical know-how and fostering development.

 


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Mgmt, or equivalent relevant experience.

Job Purpose

PURPOSE: The Facilities Equipment Service Coordinator is to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the maintenance team and their activities related to facilities operation within the Honda campus and facility. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure, while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

 

RESPONSIBILITY: The Facilities Equipment Service Coordinator is to organize and execute maintenance schedules, lead coordination among all internal teams, external vendors, spare parts and inventory management, and oversee implementation of the site preventive maintenance strategies. Effective leadership of the maintenance activities, this role drives the overall efficiency, safety, and reliability of the facilities operations, ultimately supporting the organizations goals and objectives.

Key Accountabilities
  • Coordination and Communication: Work with other in-house departments (outside of facilities) on planned and unplanned activity requiring maintenance support related to facilities operations. Assure the building’s facilities’ equipment meets capacity and reliability requirements of all direct and indirect customers across and related to the site.
  • Purchasing: Create requisitions to issue purchase orders for maintenance and repair of facilities equipment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Apply maintenance expertise in HDMA business planning operations. Facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practice to impact decisions at Site / Unit / Dept level. Support FAC Operations with mechanical and electrical equipment. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Honda’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Maximo. Apply analytical and trouble shooting skills to maximize mean time between failures (MTBF) and minimize mean time to recovery (MTTR).
  • Technical Management: Support and coordinate operation of Facilities systems including, but not limited to, chillers, air compressors, HVAC, air house units, electrical distribution equipment, cafeteria equipment, meters, lighting, and controls. Manage and maintain documentation for the facilities equipment. Communicate critical updates to site system operators. Identify deficiencies to develop scope of design and construction for renovation or upgrade of existing industrial systems. Responsible for critical thinking, troubleshooting, data collection, experimental procedures, and data analysis techniques to solve problems and recommend facilities improvements.
  • Project Management: Implement new strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL). Manage testing, planning, and maintenance of facilities equipment.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Lead and / or support in the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors for the maintenance of facilities equipment. Determine and prioritize project tasks and develop schedule and timelines to achieve maintenance goals on time and within budget. Generate maintenance progress tracking and control documents.
  • Training: Train FAC Associates and maintenance personnel on equipment operations related to mechanical and electrical systems. Provide support on an as-need basis. Ensure reference documentation is available and easily accessed.

About this Position: 

The Asset Management Sr. Specialist is responsible for the lifecycle of regional packaging assets, ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance, and compliance with industry standards.  About this Position: 

We are seeking an Indirect Procurement Logistics Category Manager to lead sourcing strategy / category management for logistics services within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

The Indirect Procurement Category Manager is accountable for managing the total N.A. Company spend for a defined category (capex, goods, services, it, logistics, etc) in excess of $250m annually. 

The category manager is accountable and responsible for managing procurement and contracts to drive value to both Honda and business users.  This position is also responsible for identifying opportunities and effectively implement sourcing solutions.  Doing so requires strategic analysis and problem solving by engaging and leading business users / leadership to implement change, understanding Honda’s current position versus market opportunities, and an excellent ability to negotiate along with strong financial and business acumen.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute category strategies for inbound, outbound, and warehousing logistics
  • Lead RFQs/RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management
  • Drive cost optimization, service reliability, and risk mitigation across logistics providers
  • Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Supply Chain
  • Monitor market trends and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Lead the development and execution of category strategies that are aligned with the organization's objectives, seeking to maximize Honda’s spend under contract and improve Honda’s cost position for indirect goods and services
  • Lead the category to establish and achieve SEQCDM performance targets, monitor progress and implement countermeasures when necessary
  • Responsible for category’s legal and commercial supplier contracts executed to protect Honda and business users
  • Responsible to implement category strategies through effective communication, negotiation, collaboration, and internal business analysis across Honda north America sites (mfg., sales, R&D).
  • Accountable to place Honda and end users first by understanding the 3a’s and customer (upstream, downstream, and end-user) viewpoint in all category strategies and supplier contracts
  • Responsible for supplier performance that meets contractual requirements and end user expectations.  Elevate and problem solve using an established supplier working and executive network   
  • Lead development of network consisting of internal Honda relationships and external supplier relationships to achieve category strategies
  • Accountable for category team’s performance management; resource and succession planning - building associate talent through regular mentoring, performance feedback and development planning

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 10-12 years’ experience based on education and work history (preferred experience either in a procurement role, or in a field with transferable knowledge and skills).

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field

Job Purpose

Lead purchasing sub-team/group within the unit, responsible for the assigned auto part commodity piece price, investment, and annual cost reduction, all of which have significant impact on HDMA financial performance.  Establishment of part and supplier strategies through understanding of the Global and North American supply base, manufacturing process and critical part design elements. Considering input from key stakeholders, propose the selection of the best cost, quality, development, and delivery supplier. 

Support procurement team key business plan themes, initiatives, and achievement. Designate, communicate, gather necessary resources, assign tasks, and implement a plan for completing the project requirements on time and within budget. Responsible to maintain supplier relationships through sale director level supplier contacts. Coordinate with other group leaders in the organization to share resources and best practices.  Actively participate in team development and growth opportunity for associates.

Fosters a high-performance and inclusive culture by developing technical and leadership capability within the group/unit and broader organization. Operates effectively in a multi-company environment, leveraging multiple viewpoints and collaboration to achieve shared business outcomes.

  • Establish and correlate with Design on logical cost targets and maker layout proposals, managing multiple model (13-17) developments
  • Manage and support geopolitical issues/concerns (i.e. tariff mitigation, human rights sourcing of tier suppliers, etc)
  • Represent the Unit and/or Department in team meetings, theme activity, and evaluations
  • Conduct periodic performance and skill assessment reviews with the team to understand development needs and set future growth plans within in sub team, mentor associates
  • Strengthens partnership and communication across APD and other regional and global functions. Ensures cohesive, end-to-end execution of new model development and cost initiatives, as well as mass production

Job Purpose:

Collaborate with design from feasibility through design phase to achieve a product that can be manufactured within the factory’s capabilities while working with MMC’s to prepare and execute the trial phase of the new model development.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conduct feasibilities studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts and manufacturing processes.
  • Identify past model problem history, opportunities for cost savings and safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with product designers to develop most efficient manufacturing process.

  • Lead and support collaborative problem solving activity with team members from final assembly factory, regional new model, and product design.
  • Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise and understanding for succession planning and team growth.

 

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or equivalent related experience.
