Trustpoint One is pleased to partner with a top tier law firm in its search for an Estates and Trust Administration Paralegal to support the Private Client, Trusts and Estates Practice. The firm represents executors, trustees, and beneficiaries in the full range of trust and estate administration matters, from the settlement of estates to tax return preparation and audits, to ongoing trust accounting and implementation. This position offers hybrid flexibility in the Minneapolis office.

Estate and Trust Administration Paralegal Duties:

- Lead contact for personal representatives for estates and trusts, beneficiaries, financial advisors, and accountants. Work with financial advisors and others to maintain accurate financial records.

- Manage daily estate aspects under moderate supervision.

- Coordinate probate of Wills and appointment of personal representatives and assist in preparation for hearings, including use of a HotDocs probate drafting system.

- Assist clients to identify, collect, and document assets, use EstateVal software and interface with qualified appraisers and outside financial parties, and arrange for payment of debts and expenses.

- Prepare and file Federal and State estate and inheritance tax returns; assist attorneys in preparation of income and fiduciary returns; facilitate tax payments and distributions to beneficiaries; terminate estates; prepare and file fiduciary accountings.

- Prepare Federal gift tax returns and manage Crummey letter notification processes.

- Utilize title databases and public information, interface with title companies to provide attorneys information from land records.

- Coordinate the delivery of certain family office services with the firm’s integrated family office, for a customized client experience.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate is required.

- 3+ years’ experience.

- Extensive knowledge of the administration of trusts and estates.

- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion, strong interpersonal skills to build a rapport with clients, and a desire to grow in the position.

- Experience with basic computer programs (including Excel), iManage and InTapp and a familiarity with basic accounting functions is required.

- Ability to walk clients through basic software functions such as e-signature processes.

- Familiarity with OneSource and Trustdesk tax return preparation systems.

- Familiarity with Minnesota probate procedure and court rules.

General Purpose

Environmental Specialist I, you will learn the safe and compliant packaging and shipping of hazardous waste while working at a customer's location. You'll learn how it's handled safely, where it goes, and how we help keep these materials out of landfills and water supplies. In this role, you will collect, separate and pack hazardous material for storage and transport and you'll be trained to complete the required documentation in accordance with our practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Abbott Northwestern or United Hospital in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN on M, W, F, and ride along with a CDL B specialist on Tuesday and Thursdays

• Communication between generator and Clean Earth
• Walk, collect, sort, package, and label hazardous and nonhazardous waste within the hospital site
• Utilizing online work order system which prints service requests, TM will collect hazardous and non-hazardous materials from various accumulation areas on the hospital campus and deliver the materials to Hazardous Waste Storage areas
• Keep accurate inventories of materials for disposal
• Ensure all containers are tracked, labeled and dated
• Ensure all containers are always closed
• Pour off approved 5-gallon containers into drums
• Relabel bulked 5-gallon containers for reuse for the same material
• Compile detailed inventories of lab pack materials, segregate and package lab pack materials based on prepared inventory sheets
• Prepare all required shipping documents – Manifests, LDRs, inventory sheets, labels & markings
• Organize batteries – segregate by type, tape and package
• Collect and package lightbulbs for disposal
• Assist with reporting requirements and compliance
• Unload inbound trucks with supplies and load outbound trucks with drums or other containers of hazardous, non-hazardous and universal wastes
• Ensure accuracy of inbound and outbound shipping documents by correctly counting containers removed from our added to trucks
• Complete paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Follow all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures as outlined in Clean Earth procedures and policies
• Maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations, customer policies, practices and procedures and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures
• Segregate and package material for transport along with completion of required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and Customer/Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures

Basic Qualifications

• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
• Have a HS Diploma or GED
• Ability to wear personal protection equipment (PPE) including eye protection, face shield, Tyvek coveralls, steel toe boots and respirator.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Physical Demands

Ability to work in all climate conditions both indoors and outdoors.

• Ability to work safely in proximity to moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, and other potential hazards.

Essentials:

Assessment and Documentation:
• Complete assigned MDS assessments and Care Area Assessments (CAAs) accurately and within regulatory timeframes using the RAI manual.
• Complete nursing sections of the MDS and ensure timely completion of interdisciplinary sections in collaboration with other departments.
• Use direct observation, clinical interviews, chart audits, and staff communication to support accurate documentation.
• Follow and update the facility’s MDS schedule and tracking systems under the direction of the MDS Coordinator.

Regulatory Compliance and Data Integrity:
• Ensure assessments are completed and submitted per federal and state regulations and organizational policies.
• Review validation reports and correct error or inconsistencies as needed.
• Track assessment completion and submission status; notify the MDS Coordinator of the delays or problems.
• Assist with identifying documentation gaps or inaccuracies that impact Quality Reporting Program (QRP) scores.

Collaboration and Support:
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team as need to clarify clinical details and support accurate documentation.
• Notify the MDS Coordinator of significant findings, challenges, or issues related to assessments or resident status.
• Provide support in the absence of the MDS Coordinator, including participation in meetings and managing assessment processes.

Education and Training:
• Complete assigned trainings and certifications (e.g., MDS Essentials, Medicare Basics, ICD-10-CM, RAC-CT).

Licensure: Active and unencumbered license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN). Ability and willingness to obtain licensure in Colorado, Florida, and Minnesota.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF). At least one (1) year of experience working directly with MDS is strongly preferred.

Certifications: Resident Assessment Coordinator – Certified (RAC-CT) certification required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
