Call: rotation including weekends; coverage includes inpatient diabetes care. Inpatient coverage at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, a 344-bed tertiary care hospital, Level I Adult Trauma Center -or- Essentia Health-Duluth, a 165-bed hospital – both located on the same connected campus.

Call is in effect for providers during office business hours only and triaged through our RN team first. An NP/PA team covers all hospital glucose management.

Our section serves a state-of-the-art 357-bed tertiary referral center opened in July 2023 with opportunities for outreach into surrounding communities.
The facility features an outpatient endoscopy unit and side by side clinic with 8 endoscopy suites and a motility lab, as well as two dedicated endoscopy rooms in the main hospital for inpatient procedures.
An IM hospitalist service manages all GI admissions and GI functions as a consultative service.
11 advanced practice providers support outpatient visits and the inpatient GI consultation service including weekends.
This position can accommodate subspecialty interests (IBD, liver disease, esophageal diseases etc.) and we have a goal of minimum 1:8 call schedule.
ERCP and EUS experience not required.
Our current group of physicians includes four general gastroenterologists, one gastrointestinal hospitalist, and two general gastroenterologists joining in 2026.
We have one therapeutic endoscopist with additional support from a casually employed physician.
We have a goal of 8-9 general gastroenterologists and 3 advanced endoscopists.
Compensation is guaranteed base salary with incentive for production for the duration of employment, not an RVU based model, no buy-ins.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- Join a dynamic team providing psychiatry services in an ambulatory clinic setting through an integrated team-based behavioral/mental health care delivery!
- Practice includes psychiatric evaluation, treatment, outpatient assessment and follow-up clinic.
- Desirable work schedule: Monday-Friday, with flexibility, up to a full FTE. Option for hybrid telehealth and clinic practice.
- Clinical decision support, consult with experienced psychiatrists and advanced practice providers on patient cases.
- Dedicated Clinic team supporting your practice by attending to scheduling, care coordination, phone triage, process refills, and other administrative tasks.
- Can do a mix of face-to-face patient encounters with virtual encounters.

- Patient Contact Hours: 35 for full-time
- Interest in ECT's would be supported.

About our Behavioral Health Team:
- Join a group of 10 adults, 4 child and adolescent psychiatrists providing behavioral health care within a large integrated health system that is recognized for high-quality care.
- The Behavioral Health Division provides a spectrum of care for children and adults, including inpatient psychiatric care, consult-liaison and emergency psychiatry, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, outpatient behavioral health clinic, and primary care-behavioral health integration.
- Other members of the team include doctoral level psychologists, health psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, community health workers, RNs, and clinical assistants.

About the position:
- Our ideal candidate would be a strong team player, desiring 1.0 FTE
- 14 on / 14 off in the inpatient unit
- No outpatient clinic required
About our Behavioral Health Team:
- Join a group of 8 adult and 3 child and adolescent psychiatrists as part of a comprehensive behavioral health program
- Position is a full time, hospitalist model psychiatry inpatient unit
- Average caseload is 18 patients, 18 yrs. and over
- Comprehensive inpatient team including family therapists, social workers, chemical dependency counselors, behavioral health techs with robust programming
- Overnight call averages 1 in 8 days
- Newly renovated, state-of-the-art, inpatient unit
- Access to immediate hospital medical services such as hospitalist consultation, full lab and imaging services in house
- Access to strong community behavioral health services, including; partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, ECT, ACT and case management services
- The Behavioral Health Department provides a spectrum of care for children and adults, including inpatient psychiatric care, consult-liaison and emergency psychiatry, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services, and an outpatient behavioral health clinic.
- Essentia Health Duluth hospital, Adult in-patient unit has 44 beds.

COMPENSATION
