Specific duties include:Meeting with assigned nursing personnel to plan the shifts' services, programs, and activities.
Overseeing the activity of assigned nursing assistantsAdministration of professional nursing services and medication to residents.
Ensuring residents receive services in accordance with their care planAssisting with new admissions and dischargesConsulting with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident's care, treatment, and rehabilitationMedication administrationVisiting residents to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status.Notifying the resident's attending physician and next-of-kin when there is a change in the resident's conditionReporting problem areas to the RN Supervisor or Clinical DirectorProvides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
Responsible for screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, diabetic nail care, and other duties as assigned by respective clinic .
Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as, autonomously.
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
