A Prosthetist/Orthotist provides total prosthetic & orthotic patient management to clients. Assists the Director with clinical management and departmental efficiency.
Responsibilties:A day in the life of a Prosthetist/Orthotist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
1. Evaluates, measures/casts/scans and records patient's limb or torso. - Prepares positive model accurately on model using plaster or in OMEGA Software. 2. Delivery of orthoses and prostheses with instructions, wearing schedules and follows up. 3. Modifications to fit & alignment due to physical changes and component wear. 4. Fabricates orthotic and/or prosthetic devices as needed. 5. Trains and supervises prosthetic/orthotic residents, technicians & students. 6. Acquires at least 20 PCEs annually.7. Records notes within 24 hours of patient encounter. 8. Completes all required assessment forms including AMP Pro and other functional level tests. 9. Determines L Codes for each prescription/order in OPIE. 10. Reviews patient's file to ascertain Insurance coverage and check that authorization has been done. 11. Submits files, or sends to billing in OPIE, to be billed on day of delivery.12. Contacts physicians for required documentation, such as: RX/LMN, Certifying Statements, chart notes etc. 13. Responds to patient phone calls within 24 hours. 14. Prepares correspondence for patient's Case Manager, physicians, etc. when necessary. 15. Contacts other Health Professionals to provide at least 2 lectures each year.16. Serves as consultant to physicians & physical therapists. 17. Make appropriate & accurate notes. 18. Makes introductions to new clients & inform them of procedures.19. Keeps patient rooms, lab bench area, Johnson P&O room and other areas clean & organized. 20. Stops work 1/2 hour before leaving to clean.21. Fills out requisitions for his/her own patients. 22. Requests and reviews appropriate shipping mode. 23. Records in HSS, items opened, received and removed from receiving area. 24. Assures that inventory of all supplies is adequate.25. Prepares statistical and inventory reports when requested. 26. Records all problems, component failures and complaints in patient file and on a QA Form and/or Safety Report when applicable.27. Other duties and/or projects as assigned.28. Qualifications:Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. A Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Candidates certified prior to January 1, 2020 are exempt from the Master's degree requirement. Candidates certified between 1986 and 2019 must have a Bachelor's Degree or alternate pathway to certification. Candidates certified by ABC prior to 1986 must hold an Associate's Degree or completed an alternate pathway to certification.2. At least 1 year of experience as a prosthetist/orthotist.3. Ability to communicate and work well with director, physicians, therapists, staff and patients. Skilled in patient management and technical aspects of P&O.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1. Master's degree.2. Minimum of 1 year of fabrication experience.

Responsibilties:A day in the life of a Multi Modality CT Technologist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Performs complex CT procedures.
- Evaluates radiographs to ensure that radiographs contain proper identification and are of diagnostic value.
- Uses consistent and appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from the medical record, health care proxy and health care providers to prepare protocols for scanning and patient safety. The collection of information is determined by the patient's needs or condition.
- Determines whether the patient has been appropriately prepared for the procedure.
- Preps patient for scanning: (i.e. shielding, immobilization devices).
- Assist providers with CT guided Interventional procedures as required.
- Perform CT examination and administer contrast following established departmental protocols.
- Provides accurate explanations and instructions at any appropriate time and at a level the patient can understand. Addresses and documents patient questions and concerns regarding the procedure when appropriate.
- Performs venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines.
- Monitors the patient's physical condition during the procedure.
- Reviews images to determine if additional scans will enhance the diagnostic value of the procedure.
- Performs retrospective reconstruction on raw data.
- Provides technical assistance and instruction to students, employees, and medical residents.
- Adheres to the principals of image gently & image wisely.
- Follow & adheres to infection control guidelines and sterile techniques.
- Revises scanning parameters to better visualize the pathology in accordance with established protocol.

- Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of all patients with pulmonary disorders in both critical and non-critical areas pursuant to a prescription of a licensed physician.
- Performs cardiopulmonary evaluation, monitoring, respiratory therapy treatment techniques, respiratory procedures and patients and family education.
- Responsible for the acquisition, analysis and interpretation of data obtained from physiological specimens, performing diagnostic tests, studies and research of the cardiopulmonary system and neurophysiological studies related to respiratory care.
- Administers and/or monitors medical gases, mechanical ventilation support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, pharmacologic agents related to respiratory care procedures, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation related and limited to respiratory care.
- Utilizes the application of scientific principles for the identification, prevention, remediation, research, and rehabilitation of acute or chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
- Administers therapeutic Respiratory Care procedures and sets up related Respiratory Care equipment as prescribed by the physician.
- Records all pertinent information of provided therapeutic procedures and patient response in the electronic medical record system, EPIC.
- Sets up, verifies proper function, operates and monitors all invasive and non-invasive respiratory equipment on patients in need of respiratory assistance.
- Participates in the management of patients on life support systems by recommending and performing appropriate changes based on blood gas results and weaning studies.
- Responds to and participates in all emergency and trauma codes.
- Changes and maintains ventilators, ventilator circuits & respiratory equipment in accordance with the Infection Control Policy of the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Runs quality controls on blood gas analyzers.
- Monitors and changes all manifolds, including but not limited to emergency oxygen, nitrous oxide and nitrogen manifold cylinders.
- Retrieves, cleans and assembles all respiratory equipment using disinfecting solutions and cleaning agents in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, and primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.).
- Lifts a minimum of 35 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 165 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.

The Radiology Technologist performs general x-ray procedures consistent with industry standards, regulations and Meridian policy, under the direction of the Physician.
In this role, you will need to be able to work in either Edison, NJ or Old Bridge, NJ.
Responsibilties:A day in the life of a Radiology Technologist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Communication: Explains procedures to patients to inform and alleviate potential anxiety and to minimize need for additional exposure. Informs patients of follow up instructions as required. All information relayed to patients is clearly and accurately documented in the charts.
- Compliance: Consistently complies with CLIA, OSHA, and other state/government regulatory standards/ requirements and agencies. Refers regularly to the POL Policy Manual. Maintains records or logs as required by regulatory agencies.
- Customer Service: Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Smiles, making patients/visitors feel welcome and important; makes direct eye contact; responds promptly to patients' needs; monitors radiology schedule or requests and works to ensure full patient satisfaction.
- Documentation: Reviews chart in advance of patient intake. Completes all required documentation according to standards established by the physician, in an accurate, legible and timely manner, and enters the date of service using MM/DD/YYYY format; Signs and dates all charts within a timely manner.

- Patient Satisfaction: Promotes patient satisfaction by providing excellent service by interacting in a friendly, helpful manner. Communicates potential patient satisfaction issues to the practice manager. Keeps informed regarding the practice's performance on patient satisfaction.
- Post Scan Procedures: Develops films of acceptable quality with minimum retakes. Completes proper forms and documents findings for physician review. Enters all required information into the database. Prints reports and distributes as per practice policy.
- Pre-Procedure Responsibilities: Obtains required demographic information from patient and verifies insurance coverage prior to initiating procedure. Completes pertinent patient history and accurately records data into medical record and/or radiology equipment.
- Radiology Procedures: Verifies the identity of the patient by asking the patient's full name and date of birth, which should be compared to the physician order. Assists the patient on and off the x-ray table as needed and assesses the immediate environment for potential safety concerns.
- May be involved in rooming patients including taking vitals and documentation in EPIC.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and improve mechanical systems, equipment, and process applications.
- Analyze and optimize chemical and manufacturing processes to increase throughput, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Schedule and manage production operations involving blending, milling, drying, and screening equipment for maximum efficiency.
- Lead employees across production and technical operations.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and downtime activities to ensure operational reliability.
- Conduct client laboratory testing, including data intake, feasibility studies, process development, optimization, and final reporting; ensure high client satisfaction.
- Perform root cause analysis on process failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage operational budgets and present performance metrics and financial results to leadership.
- Collaborate with operations, R&D, quality, and regulatory teams to implement new or improved processes.
- Develop, maintain, and manage technical documentation, including SOPs, certifications, regulatory filings, and compliance records.
- Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEP, EPA, cGMP, SQF, and other applicable regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of process engineering experience
- Experience in powder-based manufacturing within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, or chemical industries.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, including particle size analyzers, microscopes, moisture balances, and scales.
- Proven ability to work directly with customers and present technical findings.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical control panels and their integration with manufacturing equipment.
- Strong regulatory background, with responsibility for maintaining FDA, DEP, EPA, cGMP, SQF, and related programs.
- Proficiency with CAD and process simulation software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

What You'll Do:
- Critical role responsible for the retention of a segment of ExtensisHRs top clients
- Focused on building strong relationships with their assigned clients’ C-Suite and/or broker partners.
- Develop deep relationships with decision makers, users, and influencers to ensure the client’s needs and expectations are being met
- Must develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and processes to help navigate our service model
- Ability to identity gaps and areas of opportunities in which ExtensisHRs services can be a value add to assisting a client achieve their business goals and objectives.
- Increase client engagement by aligning and maximizing ExtensisHRs’ full suite of products and services (i.e. Performance Mgt, ATS, and Recruiting Services)
- Effectively and efficiently manage assigned clients’ experience during all phases of their relationship inclusive of their healthcare renewal season.
- Become an expert internal operator with an ability to resolve request and escalations effectively and efficiently the first time
- Proactively identify and implement strategies to maximize a client’s lifetime value (LTV).

A key function of this role includes the effective use and understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to enhance productivity, decision-making, and overall performance. This position is expected to maintain awareness of emerging AI applications relevant to their responsibilities, apply AI tools ethically and effectively, and continuously develop their AI proficiency.
