SUMMARY: Provide engineering duties as assigned by Plant Engineer and/or Plant Manager. Responsible for overseeing new equipment installations as well as modifications to existing equipment as assigned by Plant Engineer. Maintain PLC, HMI, and Drive programming software. Provide detail drawings of parts that need to be manufactured in our shop or by an outside machine shop. Oversee plant engineering duties in the Plant Engineer's absence. Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems that effect productivity of the manufacturing group. Be involved with process improvements providing input in production problem solving.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Providing detail drawings.
  • Active in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Well versed in PLC and HMI programming.
  • Well versed in digital and analog AC/DC drive design, programming and installation.
  • Well versed in computer (PC) fundamentals, including communication protocols, Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft Office software.

  • Negotiate price and purchase equipment and services as needed.
  • Draft capital expenditure requisitions - gather information for justification of capital, obtain cost of capital items.
  • Fill out project item listings.
  • Provide managerial input to the maintenance department as well as outside contractors.
  • A fundamental understanding of regulations including OSHA, NFPA, NEC, EPA, and WDNR.
  • Responsible for working safely and being a safety leader.

Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities as necessary in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. SUMMARY: A program designed to train a skilled worker through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction to become a Maintenance Technician at American Packaging Corporation. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for electrical and mechanical systems in the facility, which will include troubleshooting and routine maintenance activities. Throughout this program, they will learn to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems that affect productivity of the manufacturing group as well as plant facilities and subsystems. They will learn to be involved with the process improvements providing input in production problem solving.


Approval Process: Applicants will be interviewed and chosen based on their experience, knowledge, and overall work history. The chosen finalists will be required to take and pass an aptitude test.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Duration: 3-4 years for completion


Classroom Training: Several courses required through local school, such as Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical and Machining courses.

Hours of Work: As needed for class schedule, must be flexible.


On the Job Training:

A. Tool and Supply Room (~200 hrs)

Learn size of wire conduit and bending of conduit, use of tools and how to determine the size of load safety.


B. Lighting (~200 hrs)

Replacement of incandescent lamps and hot cathode fluorescent tubes and starters. Repair of fluorescent fixtures, replacing ballast, socket and wiring, code requirements. Repair of LED fixtures, replacing drivers and troubleshooting.


C. Trouble Shooting AC Wiring (~300 hrs)

Learn to locate and repair contactor problems, replacing contacts and contactor. Locate and replace blown fuses. Check and repair limit switches, push buttons, etc.


D. Special Circuits AC (~500 hrs)

Learn to read wiring diagrams. Operation of special control circuits, time delay switches, electrical braking.


E. Direct Current Machinery (~500 hrs)

Learn to locate and repair direct current motor troubles in fields, armatures, bearings, brush holders, and commutators. Knowledge of variable speed DC drives. Repair and maintenance of DC contactors and field control.


F. General Wiring (~500 hrs)

Learn proper handling and installation of power feeding, wiring, fuse panels, breakers, etc. Estimate load requirements. Code requirements. Install general wiring.


G. Instruments (~100 hrs)

Learn proper use and care of voltmeter, ammeter, watt meter, oscilloscope and megger, etc.


H. Computerized Controls (~600 hrs)

Programmable logic controllers: reading diagrams and schematics; maintaining and troubleshooting.


I. Care, Use and Safety of Tools and Equipment (~500 hrs)

Hand tools, power tools, machines and power equipment, ladders, scaffolding and hoists.


J. Machine Repair (Mechanical) (~1500 hrs)

K. Bench Work and Machinery (~300 hrs)

As a Professional, Prospective Review in Health Management - UM Prospective Review, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our prospective review process. The Medical Director provides clinical expertise and leadership in delivering timely first- and second-level clinical determinations in accordance with MVP Health Care's policies, state and federal regulations, national accreditation standards, and benefit interpretations. This role supports collaboration across Utilization Management, Case Management, Appeals, and other Health Management divisions to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. The Medical Director also contributes to quality initiatives, cost control strategies, and consistency in medical decision-making across all business lines.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Render first- and second-level clinical determinations based on medical necessity criteria, MVP policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Utilization Management, Case Management, and Appeals teams to enhance care quality and service utilization.
  • Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives in a matrixed environment.
  • Identify and execute strategies to promote medication adherence, care management, and cost containment.
  • Participate in Medical Director training sessions, meetings, and conference calls.
  • Provide transactional coverage outside normal business hours on a rotational basis, including weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Position Qualifications

 

Education:

 

  • MD or DO with current, unrestricted licensure in any U.S. state.
  • Eligible for licensure in New York and Vermont.
  • Board certification in an ABMS-recognized primary care or specialty discipline.

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum 10 years of clinical practice with demonstrated leadership experience.
  • At least 3 years in a managed care environment preferred.
  • Experience with post-acute care initial and appeal determinations is preferred

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills for functioning in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, practice staff, and facility personnel.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and electronic documentation.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and research medical literature

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of quality improvement programs (HEDIS, STAR, CAHPS measures).
  • Familiarity with NCQA requirements
