Job Description:Our Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing product installations throughout the Washington region, exceeding customer expectations while maximizing profitability. The Field Superintendent works with both in-house staff and subcontractors. The Field Superintendent ensures all quality and safety standards are met on each project, coordinates product and equipment availability with the customer and installation teams, resolves any bottlenecks, and escalates problems as necessary. The primary focus is on our larger projects, working directly with general contractors and customers, and being on-site frequently throughout the process. The Field Superintendent also works with sales personnel to provide technical expertise, and interfaces with the administrative support team to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provides overall management direction for a field project or two or more smaller projects. Project Manager reports to Construction Manager.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. Assists Construction Manager with planning, organizing and staffing key field positions through General Superintendent and Executive V.P. of Operations.
2. Establishes individual project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
3. Initiates and maintains liaison with prime client and A/E contacts, to facilitate project construction activities.

8. Provides direction to project planning, scheduling, QA/QC, and engineering functions as required.
9. Prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s).

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
Educational and experience requirements include: 4 year engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent, plus extensive (five or more years) experience/knowledge of specialty geotechnical construction, design, finance, and management required. Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential. Must be a business oriented person.
COMMENTS:

The Chief Heavy Civil Estimator is responsible for leading the company’s heavy civil estimating strategy, execution, and team development across all offices. This role will oversee a group of estimators operating from a centralized estimating location and will support bids for projects throughout the company’s footprint.
This position is a key leadership role in expanding the company’s heavy civil capabilities into new and existing markets including dams and water resource infrastructure, mass grading, mining support infrastructure, underground utilities, pipelines, and large-scale site development. The Chief Heavy Civil Estimator will produce accurate, complete, and competitive estimates and will build repeatable estimating systems that drive profitable growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Civil Estimator:
- Lead and manage a team of estimators responsible for heavy civil bids across all offices.
- Assign estimating responsibilities, coordinate workloads, and ensure bid schedules are met.
- Develop and mentor estimating staff through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Establish clear estimating workflows, standards, review processes, and deliverables.
- Lead preparation of competitive and complete estimates for heavy civil and large development pursuits.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, labor and equipment productions, and bid-leveling.
- Develop pricing strategies and collaborate with leadership to determine bid markups, general conditions, contingency, and schedule impacts.
- Coordinate bid reviews and executive-level presentations prior to submission.

- Ensure the bid complies with owner requirements, bid forms, and proposal instructions.
- Solicit subcontractor pricing and scope input for specialty work (dewatering, drilling, blasting, shoring, etc.).
- Evaluate subcontractor quotes for completeness and accuracy; manage bid leveling and scope alignment.
- Assist in development of strategic partnerships for emerging markets and scopes.
- Maintain and improve a heavy civil cost database including labor, equipment, materials, trucking, and subcontractor benchmarks.
- Track estimate performance and contribute to lessons learned based on job cost results and field feedback.
- Coordinate with operations, project management, and field leadership to validate means/methods and production assumptions.
- Participate in turnover meetings and support transition from bid to execution.
- Assist operations in early project planning, budgeting, and buyout strategy as needed.

TEC Group is partnering with a growing organization in the commercial door, frame, and hardware industry that is looking for a General Manager to run one of their key regional locations.
This role is responsible for leading the branch, developing the team, and ensuring projects and operations are running efficiently while hitting financial targets. The person in this position will play a big role in shaping the local market presence and strengthening relationships with customers and contractors.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of a branch supporting project management, sales, and field coordination
• Guiding project managers through complex jobs and helping resolve challenges that come up during execution
• Tracking financial performance of projects and ensuring the office is meeting revenue and profit goals
• Reviewing forecasts, project changes, and operational metrics to keep work on track
• Developing and mentoring team members while building a strong, collaborative culture
• Working with leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements
• Building and maintaining relationships with general contractors, partners, and customers in the region
Background:
• Around 10+ years in the commercial door, frame, and hardware space (Division 8 / 10 / 28)
• Experience managing operations, projects, or a branch within the industry
• Comfortable owning financial performance and business results
• Strong leadership skills with experience guiding teams and improving processes
• Bachelor’s degree is helpful but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
• Base salary: $175K–$210K + performance bonus
