This role involves providing comprehensive cardiothoracic and vascular surgery services, with patient encounters varying per shift and minimal rounding required for in-house patients when on call.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic and vascular surgery services.
- Perform general CV/thoracic surgery, including open and endoscopic approaches.
- Conduct coronary artery bypass surgery, both on-pump and off-pump.
- Address congenital defects such as ASD, VSD, and PFO.
- Execute valvular repair and replacement, and aneurysm repair (Cardiac, Aorto-thoracic).
- Perform lung resection (including VATs), chest wall or pleural procedures, and esophagus and diaphragm surgeries.
- Manage permanent pacemaker placement, AICD, Left ventricular assist devices, TAVR, and CABG.
- Handle vent management and bronchoscopy.
- Evaluate and manage acute volume/blood pressure issues, including insertion of Central line, Arterial line, PA catheter, and IABP.
- Perform general vascular surgery (Open, Endovascular), aneurysm repair - aorto-abdominal, and bypass procedures (aorto-femoral/iliac, fem-pop).
- Conduct endarterectomy (Carotid, Renal) and subclavian steal procedures.
- Patient encounters will vary per shift, with minimal rounding required for in-house patients when on call.

This role involves providing comprehensive hematology and oncology care to 18-20 adult patients daily, including chemotherapy administration and treatment plan management. The schedule features Monday, Tuesday, and Friday clinic hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, complemented by weekday call coverage and one weekend call per month.
Responsibilities and Duties
- See 18-20 adult patients per day in the Outpatient office.
- Work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the last patient scheduled at 3:30 PM.
- Manage a 50/50 mix of hematology and oncology cases.
- Utilize APP support.
- Administer chemotherapy and create/maintain treatment plans for oncology patients.
- Write orders for chemotherapy.
- Be available for calls from the chemotherapy nurse and to see patients in the infusion center for any negative reactions.
- Provide daily infusion coverage from 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Offer weekday call coverage on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4 PM to 8 AM.

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment in Ohio, starting Apr 3, 2026. This role involves 12-hour shifts, either 7a-5p for day rounding or 6pm-6am for night call, focusing on routine cardiothoracic cases such as CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy, VATS, and occasional ECMO, including vein harvesting.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform 12-hour shifts for night call or day rounding.
- Be within a 30-minute range from the hospital for call shifts if local, or stay in a nearby hotel if not.
- Handle most calls over the phone.
- Be called in approximately once every 10 shifts.
- Manage routine cardiothoracic cases including CABG, valves, complex aorta, lobectomy cases, and VATS.
- Address occasional ECMO cases, with no further advanced heart failure, VAD, or transplants.
- Perform vein harvesting utilizing Maquet Hemopro 2.
