Physicians Care is looking for experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team in South Pittsburg, TN.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

β’ Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
β’ Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process
β’ Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
β’ Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
β’ Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
β’ Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
β’ Assists with patient transfers
β’ Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
β’ Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit
β’ Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
β’ Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
β’ Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
β’ Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty
β’ Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit
β’ Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
β’ Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure

- Has responsibility for all field service activities for Thermal heating.

- Responsible for organizing, developing, and presenting service training for Astec, Inc. customers, including maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operating instructions.
