Job Summary

The Area Sales Representative is a field based, high activity hunter role with full ownership of a geographic territory. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on being in front of customers, driving territory strategy, and representing a mission critical service in a fast paced market. This is a road warrior role: most days are spent in the field meeting prospects, visiting clients, and building relationships. If you’re an entry to mid level sales professional looking to accelerate your career and learn from a proven industry leader, this is an exceptional opportunity.


Outside Sales Representative are in the field 4 days a week.



Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a defined territory through field prospecting, phone outreach, networking, referrals, and ongoing client engagement, including in person visits, calls, emails, and relationship building activities.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from initial outreach through long-term account expansion.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client operations and logistics needs to effectively position Imperative’s solutions.
  • Use data, tools, and market insights to strategically plan daily activities and maximize territory performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and long-term success.
  • Represent Imperative professionally and consistently with a customer first mindset in all interactions.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect quickly and build professional relationships.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to ask great questions and actively listen.
  • Ability to collaborate across internal teams to support customer needs and ensure seamless service.
  • Strong organization, time management, and follow through.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is preferred but not required, training is available.
  • Previous sales or customer facing experience is desired but not required; we’re committed to training motivated candidates.
  • Brings resilience and a solution oriented mindset when navigating challenges or shifting priorities.
  • Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Valid Driver’s License within the state territory.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $70,000+ (experience & location dependent)
  • Uncapped commission plan
  • $1,000 ($1,300 for EV) monthly car allowance

About the Role The Crib Attendant/Driver will be responsible for driving a company vehicle throughout the assigned geographic area and ensure safety of self and others while driving.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and issuing the tools and supplies used in the production supply crib located on the site of our client.
