Park Nicollet is looking for a BC/BE advanced endoscopist/gastroenterologist to join our team. Our team provides outpatient procedural and clinic services in St Louis Park, Maple Grove, Burnsville and Hutchinson. Physicians are assigned a primary site and assist with coverage at secondary sites intermittently. Our team also provides 24/7 inpatient coverage at Methodist Hospital in St. Full-Time 1.0 FTE: 4.5 working days per week. For advanced endoscopists who are seasoned clinicians, there is an option to do Full time 1.0 FTE as a 4-day work week. Change to 4 day work week while maintaining Full-Time 1.0 FTE is subject to department leadership approval and ongoing adherence to high quality patient care and time management.
Participate in advanced endoscopy coverage for a single hospital site (Methodist Hospital). Maintain key working relationships with patients and families, Gastroenterology team members, Administration, unit staff throughout Methodist Hospital as well as Clinical staff at the respective outpatient procedure centers. Advanced endoscopy clinicians will cover the advanced endoscopy service approximately 1 weekend per month of call coverage (subject to change pending total group number. Advanced endoscopists will also rotate day/night emergency ERCP call coverage.
Complete screening and diagnostic procedures primarily at our St Louis Park, Maple Grove, Burnsville and Hutchinson sites.

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences is seeking a full-time, board-certified Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease and Refractive Surgery to serve as the Division Director for our Cornea service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to expand a refractive surgery practice and lead the cornea division within our dynamic and comprehensive ophthalmology department. Our team includes over 40 faculty members across all ophthalmology subspecialties, with the cornea section featuring both a clinician-scientist and a cornea specialist.

The practice is based at the University of Minnesota, with potential opportunities at one or two affiliated sites in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, a metropolitan region with a population of over 3 million. The department enjoys state-of-the-art technology for imaging, laser treatments, and diagnostics and a top ranked Clinic and Surgery Center that opened in 2016.

This role involves providing comprehensive ophthalmic care to patients with a range of eye diseases, infections, trauma, and other conditions. Key responsibilities include offering outpatient and inpatient consultations, conducting eye exams, educating medical students, residents, and fellows, leading clinical research and quality improvement initiatives, performing eye surgeries and treatments, and managing related administrative duties within the division, department, and hospital.

Qualifications

M.D. degree; graduate of accredited ACGME Ophthalmology residency and a one-year Cornea and External Disease and Refractive Surgery fellowship; board eligible/certified with American Board of Ophthalmology; licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensure; ability to maintain DEA certification in Minnesota; ability to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges for credentialing and privileges, and experience or interest in clinical research and other scholarly activities.

Pay and Benefits:

This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range this position is $249,647 - $492,450 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.? The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation’s economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.

Typical assignments include:

- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations

- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations

- Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband

- Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks

You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:

Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR

Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR

Experience: One year of specialized work experience that shows you have the skills necessary to:

- Make sound judgments and decisions in the use of firearms.

Other Requirements

Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.

Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.

Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
Providing daily supervision and mentorship
Managing household routines and student schedules
Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
Upon hire, Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes and follow a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off.
On weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Flex Houseparents eventually transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same group of students in their own student home.
