Position Description: Quality System Manager
We are seeking a transformative leader to serve as the primary architect of our Quality Management System. In this role, you will bridge the gap between rigorous engineering standards and shop-floor execution, ensuring our electrical distribution equipment meets the highest benchmarks of safety and reliability. You won't just be managing a checklist; you will be building a culture where quality is a shared responsibility, directly impacting on our ability to power critical infrastructure across the globe.
Primary Duties:
- Lead the design, modernization, and long-term architecture of the company’s Quality Management System, transforming it into a streamlined, intuitive, and scalable framework that supports rapid manufacturing.
- Bridge rigorous engineering standards with practical shop-floor execution, ensuring quality expectations are clearly translated, consistently applied, and fully understood across all levels of production.
- Drive a shift from reactive quality control to proactive quality assurance, enabling issues to be identified and resolved at the point of origin.
- Reduce late-stage defects, rework, and test failures by implementing systems, training, and processes that prevent problems before they occur.
- Build strong partnerships with production, engineering, and operations teams, positioning Quality as a collaborative enabler of speed, precision, and problem-solving.
- Establish a culture where quality is a shared responsibility, with operators, technicians, and engineers demonstrating increased ownership and accountability.
- Maintain a state of continuous audit readiness by embedding compliance into daily workflows, ensuring internal and external audits are passed with minimal disruption.
- Implement data-driven decision-making within the QMS, using trends and insights to prioritize improvements and guide operational strategy.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration
Skills & Experience:
- 7-10+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering
- 3-5+ years specifically managing or owning a Quality Management System (QMS)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, audits, and system modernization
- Strong background in ISO 9001, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement

Fleet Safety and Compliance Coordinator
Job Summary
The Fleet Safety and Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for the administration of our Driver Operational Policy as well as the daily monitoring and implementation of our vehicle telematics and dashcam programs.
The Fleet Safety and Compliance Coordinator will play a key role in moving safety and compliance efforts forward for our commercial and passenger fleets. This position reports to and works closely with the Senior Transportation Manager. Additionally, will collaborate daily with other employees in the department, and throughout operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsible for the daily administration of our Driver Operational Policy. Duties in this area include reading and interpreting daily reports that measure driver performance in areas including:
- CSA data from roadside inspections
- Crash data
- Telematics data from our partner ELD-provider Platform Science
- Overweight citations
- Hours-of-service violations
- MVR dataMonitors dashcam data for Austin's commercial and passenger fleets and other vehicles as assigned.
- Maintains policy-based point system using agreed upon metrics.
- Works with APC field managers to ensure proper coaching and follow-up is completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Interface with Human Resources to ensure proper administration of policy is executed as necessary.
- Coordinate service and installation of telematics equipment and dash cams in Austin Powder vehicles with goal of 100% operational equipment.
- Assists drivers and managers in working with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Assists and provides data for accident/incident investigations and resolution of transportation-related claims as required.
- Assists with employee training initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the company's corporate transportation objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- HS Diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams.
- 2+ Experience working with CDL drivers
- 2+ Experience working with commercial motor vehicle fleets.
- Experience in DOT regulations is strongly preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop annual / seasonal / monthly category merchandise financial plans in accordance with company goals, historical performance and trend analysis.
- Create SKU level sales and inventory plans for seasonal Investment Reviews to ensure the correct inventory levels in place to support category plans.
- Continuously analyze and reforecast the Open to Buy and recommend / execute strategies to maximize opportunities and minimize risk.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels throughout product lifecycle to stay in line with the turn and inventory plan, partnering with Sourcing and Vendors to adjust on order where appropriate.
- Develop and execute price actions to drive sales and margin across new products, promotions and markdowns.
- Evaluate stock and sales by store or DC for replenishment product and make recommendations to balance inventory and drive SKU productivity.
- Conduct detailed SKU hindsight analysis and present findings and actions to maximize SKU productivity, margin and turn.
- Set and communicate KPI targets and updates (e.g. SKU Count & Productivity, Sales, Margin and Inventory targets) to Merchandising partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Allocation or Buying
- High proficiency in Excel
