Position Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide comprehensive outpatient care to patients under the supervision and collaboration of interventional cardiologists. The APP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular disease, focusing on continuity of care before and after interventional procedures. This role emphasizes outpatient clinic management, coordination of patient care, and integration with inpatient and procedural services to optimize outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Conduct new patient consultations, follow-up visits, and post-procedure evaluations in the outpatient clinic.
- Perform focused histories, physical examinations, and order/interpret diagnostic test results (e.g., echocardiograms, stress testing, vascular studies, labs).
- Supervise cardiac stress tests (training provided if not experienced)
- Manage cardiovascular risk factors and chronic conditions (hypertension, hyperlipidemia, CAD, PAD, heart failure) under established protocols.
- Provide pre-procedure evaluation and education prior to interventional cardiology procedures.
- Deliver post-procedure follow-up, including medication adjustments, wound care, and complication monitoring.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians in the formulation and execution of treatment plans.
Care Coordination
- Facilitate seamless transitions of care between hospital, cath lab, and outpatient clinic.
- Communicate with referring physicians and primary care providers regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
- Assist with triage of referrals to the interventional cardiology clinic, prioritizing urgent cases (e.g., unstable angina, critical limb ischemia).
- Coordinate acquisition and review of outside medical records and imaging.
Education & Counseling
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, procedures, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence.
- Provide counseling on cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required); Master's degree (preferred)
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a clinical nurse supervisor or director in dialysis services; leadership experience in managing multi-system dialysis operations is highly preferred.
- Certifications: Current RN license in Texas; AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or Instructor card required.
- Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills (Spanish/English bilingual a plus), and a dedication to patient-centered care.

We are currently seeking dedicated Property & Casualty (P&C) active producer/agents with an ACTIVE P&C producer agent license to work in our San Antonio office at 9800 Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX 78288. As a Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll work within defined guidelines and framework, to provide customer service, sales, and retention activities for one or more of USAA's Property & Casualty personal line products. As a dedicated Senior Property Adjuster, you will work within defined guidelines and framework, investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle complex property insurance claims presented by or against our members. You will confirm/analyze coverage, recognize liability exposure and negotiate equitable settlement in compliance with all state regulatory requirements. The Inside Senior Property Adjuster role is a telephone concentrated environment without physical inspection of loss. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with paid overtime available. Training will be approximately 12 weeks, Monday - Friday and hours may vary by location. Upon successful completion of training, employees will transition to an eight-hour work shift ranging between 8:00 am - 5:30 pm (local time) Monday to Friday with availability for occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs.
What you'll do:
* Proactively manages assigned claims caseload comprised of claims with moderate complexity damages that require commensurate knowledge and understanding of claims coverage.
* Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate moderate complexity claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
* Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources. May identify and resolve potential discrepancies and identifies subrogation potential resulting from unusual characteristics.

* Determines and negotiates moderate complexity claims settlement. Develops recommendations and collaborates with management for determining settlement amounts outside of authority limits and accurately manages claims outcomes.
* Maintains accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
* Applies proficient knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools; Utilizes platforms and tools to prepare claims estimates to manage moderate complexity property insurance claims.
* Applies working knowledge of industry standards of inspection, damage mitigation and restoration techniques.
* Serves as an informal resource for team members.
* Recognizes and addresses jurisdictional challenges such as applicable legislation and construction considerations.

What you'll do:
Document First Notice of Loss by obtaining relevant information for effective claim investigation. Set up appropriate services, as needed, to proactively move claims forward to the furthest point in the process within scope of role and expectation.
Create loss reports, describe or verify coverage as appropriate, and initiate the most effective method of damage assessment to assign for file handling.

Work various types of claim loss notices and inquiries, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to provide exceptional customer service for our members by using active listening, verbal, and written communication skills to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically.
Highly developed interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task while navigating through multiple business applications.
Successful completion of a job-related assessment is required.
May require acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days. (USAA provides all materials and licensing fees.)

Compensation range: The hiring range for this position is: $43,750 to $45,750
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
