SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Government Account Executive is responsible for the promotion and sale of technology solutions to customers within a designated territory. POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and coordinates the operation and performance of the diagnostic area of Radiology in coordination with the professional staff, Chief Radiologist, Chief Technologist, Assistant Director and/or Director of Radiology. Performs administrative and patient care duties and ensures the prompt and efficient performance of all procedures. Keeps abreast of new technical and theoretical concepts and disseminates departmental information. Supports University Health’s policies, values and guest relations initiatives at all times.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Certification by the Texas Department of Health (MRT) is mandatory. Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association is mandatory. Three years supervisory experience in a radiology department is required. Three years of managerial experience is preferred.

The Opportunity
It is all about learning and growing. Our Customer Service Claims Representative role may be a new career for you. You will be part of an outstanding contact service center, where you will focus on providing claims service to members regarding the initial contact on all property First Notice of Loss (FNOL) claims. In addition, you will respond to status inquiries from various parties, document reported losses, set appropriate expectations, provide proactive communications, advice, and empathy to our members.
What you'll do:
Document First Notice of Loss by obtaining relevant information for effective claim investigation. Set up appropriate services, as needed, to proactively move claims forward to the furthest point in the process within scope of role and expectation.
Create loss reports, describe or verify coverage as appropriate, and initiate the most effective method of damage assessment to assign for file handling.
Assist with questions regarding the claims process and set expectations for next steps to help ensure claims are effectively resolved and accurately documented.
Resolve status inquiries and, when appropriate, route to handling adjuster.
Effectively operate in a fast-paced, high-volume, contact center environment taking back-to-back calls and navigating multiple systems and programs while maintaining an engaging member interaction that occurs across multiple communication channels.
Apply strong time management skills by closely adhering to assigned work schedule.

Job Summary and QualificationsGeneral Statement of Duties:
The Interventional Radiologic technologist performs routine and complex Invasive Vascular and Therapeutic Imaging procedures as requested by a physician and under the direct supervision of a Radiologist or vascular surgeon for the diagnosis and treatment of organ and vascular disease in accordance with established protocols. The technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are comfortable and at ease during the exam and provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality imaging for interpretation.
What you will do in this Role:
1. Performs interventional radiologic procedures (primarily Angiography) under the direction of a physician, utilizing ionizing radiation and other diagnostic methods: Assists the physician as required and responsible for processing all documentation.
2. Demonstrate competency in all diagnostic, standard and neurological Interventional radiology procedures, procedural scrub, room preparation and setup to include power injector.
3. Follows established standards and practices under the direction or a credentialed radiologist and/or vascular surgeon.
4. Competency in assisting with complex Invasive Vascular and Therapeutic Imaging procedures including but not limited to, diagnostic body and neuro angiograms, vascular and carotid stenting, embolization
5. Participate in on-call schedule and for neurological cases must live within 30 minutes of the hospital to meet required response time.
6. Holding pressure and placement of closure devices. Operation of ultrasound machine, Operation and processing of 3D Imaging. Assisting in preparation of embolic material for embolization, various catheters, angioplasty balloons, vascular stents and coils

Job Summary and Qualifications
General Statement of Duties:
Responsible for diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast enhanced radiographs of blood vessels to aid physician in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Operates fluoroscope to aid physician in viewing image of the guide wire or catheter through blood vessel to area of interest. Fills automatic injector with contrast media, sets flow rate, and activates injection of contrast media into blood vessels of patient, as directed by physician. Monitors video display of area of interest and adjusts density and contrast to obtain optimum exposure and starts filming sequence. Assure that sterile or non-sterile supplies such as contrast materials, catheters or other required equipment, are present and in working order or requisition materials.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:
1. Education: Successful completion of radiologic technology program
2. Experience: 1 year experience as a radiologic technologist in a hospital setting
3. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
Preferred: Advanced certification in Special Procedures or Cardiovascular Technology is preferred.

Required: Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from Texas Department of Health Preferred: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (VI) is desired.

1. Demonstrates competence in all areas of special procedures: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, technical factors and surgical assistance.

3. Ensures efficient workflow in Special Procedures Department by getting patients started on time and keeping room turnaround time to a minimum.
4. Responsible for the proper use of the computer system (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, proper completion of exams, capture charges).
5. Understands and follows infection control/universal precautions in the performance of all job tasks. Maintains order and cleanliness. Always practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination.
6. Responsible for the care and maintenance of existing IVs may be responsible for injecting specific medication under the direction of the physician.
Additional Roles:
1. May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents and other non-controlled medications as appropriate to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
2. Will integrate current scientific knowledge and technology into their work practices, play an active roll in the orientation and training of new employees and students and participate in continuing education provided to the department during work hours. Yearly, Technologist will participate in and complete their Job Skills/Competency Checklist.
3. Maintain an atmosphere of professionalism, communicate technical and general information to, as well as, display consideration to peers, medical personnel, and customers in a professional manner and promote a positive image in daily and professional activities. Technologist will maintain a clean, stocked, orderly work area.
4. All employees shall facilitate and participate in current and future Radiology Department CQI monitoring and implement changes accordingly. Employees shall assist in collection of data, reviewing and revising the CQI program to be in compliance with accrediting agencies, hospital goals, departmental policies and procedures. All employees shall demonstrate knowledge and responsibility for on going CQI.
