Job Summary and Qualifications
Cardiovascular Technologists/Special Procedure Techniciansdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients served.Cardiovascular Technologists/ Special Procedure Technicianscanscrub/assistthe physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. He orshe is also able to record andmonitorthese cases and understand the hemodynamic measurements and readings from the valve areas.
What you will do in this role:
You willdemonstratethe ability to perform contrast media administration according to age/weight specific guidelines.
You willdemonstratethe ability to set up sterile trays andmaintaina sterilefield, according to hospital protocol.
You will scrub andassistinterventional physician during interventional procedures.

What qualifications you will need:
Current license or registry certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)) or must complete this advanced registration within one year of hire date.
Current license or registry of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and licensed through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)].New and existing staff may be considered with 8 years of procedure experience but must complete an advanced registration/certification (RCIS or RCES from CCI) or obtain their Radiologic Technologist license within one year of hire date.
BLS required
Completion of ACLS training within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of 1 year of Cath lab, EP lab preferred.
Will consider new grads of RCIS programs.

Job Summary and QualificationsCardiac Cath Lab Tech’s demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients served. They are able to scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Additionally, they are responsible for recording and monitoring these cases, as well as understanding hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings.
What You Will Do in This Role
· Assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing and sterile field setup.
· Administer contrast media and medications according to age- and weight-specific guidelines and within regulatory scope.
· Start and maintain IV access; monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting any abnormalities.
· Prepare patients by reviewing their medical history, positioning them, and prepping procedure sites.
· Operate and maintain imaging and lab equipment; report malfunctions and follow lock/tag-out procedures when necessary.
· Accurately document procedures in Meditech and verify imaging in PACS.
· Interpret and report test results, recognizing and correcting artifacts or recording errors.
· Handle and dispose of radioactive waste in compliance with safety regulations.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment.
· Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
What Qualifications You Will Need
Required: One of the following:
· A current license or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from CCI.
· OR A current license or certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)] from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and ARRT.
Preferred:
· Experience in special procedures, thrombectomy, and neuro.
· Minimum of one year of experience in a Cath Lab or EP Lab.
Other Requirements:
· BLS certification is required, and ACLS training must be completed within six months of hire.
· Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with patients and staff.
· New graduates from RCIS programs will be considered.
