The department provides comprehensive Nephrology subspecialty services including: inpatient evaluation of acute kidney injury (AKI), critical care consultation, continuous dialysis, acute and chronic dialysis, outpatient management of kidney disease, and postoperative/long-term management of kidney transplant recipients.
Primary responsibilities include: Assist inpatient providers with new consults and inpatient follow-ups for patients with acute kidney injury and electrolyte abnormalities Evaluate dialysis patients and write inpatient dialysis orders Assist with inpatient charting and documentation Assist providers in outpatient Nephrology clinic Education Bachelor's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required), Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Preferred) About Geisinger OUR PURPOSE & VALUES: Everything we do is about caring for our patients, our members, our students, our Geisinger family and our communities.
