The University of Louisville Department of Surgery is seeking board certified/eligible Critical Care Physicians for the Surgical ICU. Applications are invited for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery, term track, Department of Surgery, at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. The successful candidate must have completed either general surgery or anesthesiology training at an ACGME accredited program and be board certified/eligible as well as have completed a fellowship in critical care. The ideal candidate would have experience in training fellows, residents and students in critical care. Applicants are expected to have a genuine interest and commitment to critically ill surgical patients including cardiothoracic, general, transplant, and vascular patients. Questions about the position and/or the application process may be directed to Dr. Brian Harbrecht, .

Qualified candidates should be certified/eligible in either general surgery or anesthesiology. The Department of Pathology at the University of Louisville continues grow and expand and is seeking two full-time academic anatomic pathologists. This position offers some flexibility in scheduling and may be filledat 0.8 to 1.0 FTE. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and academic achievements.

Candidates should have a strong interest in promoting the academic mission, including maintaining scholarly activities and participating in graduate and undergraduate medical education. Applicants should have fellowship training or a strong and proven interest in one or more of the following practice areas: medical renal, thoracic/lung, gynecologic, head and neck pathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology. Prior work experience in an academic setting is desirable. A track record of educational achievements and publications demonstrating clinical and scientific accomplishments is also desirable.
