The night team is staffed with two APPs per night, who work collaboratively to manage a service of 75-80 pts [on average].
There is a physician on-call.
Typically, the workload is divided as such: one APP focusses on admissions and the second APP manages the floor calls and will assign the new patients from a 24-hour period to the day physicians.--Common conditions managed by the service are: CVAs [ICH, SAH, Ischemic], Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, COPD, Pneumonia and Sepsis.--Specialty services are available in-house: Pulmonary, Critical care, Cardiology, all surgical specialties, and endovascular/neurosurgery.--PTO and CME allowance.--Malpractice ?occurrence coverage.--Excellent benefits package
