Position Overview:

Milestone Education is seeking a highly analytical and detail-orientedBusiness Analyst to support the FP&A function and partner closely with the VP of FP&A. This role will play a key part in financial planning, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in financial analysis, comfort working with data, and the ability to translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Support the VP of FP&A in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes

·      Build and maintain financial models to analyze performance and support decision-making

·      Perform variance analysis and provide insights on key drivers (enrollment, staffing, expenses)

·      Assist in developing and maintaining KPIs and performance dashboards

·      Partner with Finance, Operations, and IT to ensure accurate and consistent reporting

·      Utilize tools such as Excel and BI platforms (Power BI) to analyze and visualize data

·      Translate data into clear summaries and recommendations for leadership

·      Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, including preparation of materials

·      Contribute to process improvements and help enhance reporting efficiency and automation

·      Provide ad hoc analysis as needed

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field

·      3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, consulting, or business analytics

·      Strong proficiency in Excel (modeling, pivot tables, data analysis)

·      Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) preferred

·      Strong proficiency in Salesforce dashboard creation

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·      Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including summarizing insights

·      Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
