Diagnose, prescribe medications and interventions, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, coordinate the interdisciplinary health care team, plan and coordinate patients' discharge, rehabilitation, home health care and follow-up; ensuring continuity of care within the hospital setting. The NNP will also perform procedures within their scope and realm of their collaboration agreement with their physician partner.

- Neonatal care at Fairview Health Services utilizes 60 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners.
- Ability to provide services at 5 metropolitan and suburban hospitals including: M Health University of Minnesota Children?s Hospital, M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital, M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital, M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital and M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital.
- NNPs are available in the hospital 24 hours a day 7 days a week to assist physicians and midwives in delivery room resuscitation/stabilization procedures, and assessment and ongoing management of infants in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit/Special Care Nursery.
- NNPs are also part of the team to transport neonates from greater Minnesota communities.
- We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
- Scheduled hours are flexible, with some weekend hours included.
- As a Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO), our physicians use a multidisciplinary team approach in managing clinical care.
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Neonatal Nurse Practitioner training program. Have a current Minnesota RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges. Be eligible or certified through ANCC / AANP and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, diagnose, and treat patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Provideexemplarypatient care.
- Conduct viscosupplementation using the latest technology and the newest clinically researched products.
- Develop and implement patient management plans and record patient progress, documenting notes in EMR.
- Conduct consults and follow-up appointments.
- Work collaboratively with staff and other healthcare professionals, including physical therapist referrals, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate and counsel patients about their treatment plans, including self-care, exercises, and medication guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to all company policies and regulations, as well as healthcare laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and treatment options for joint pain and arthritis.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant program.
- Hold an NCCPA certification.
- Current Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Illinois.
- Must be CPR/BLS certified.
- At least 2 years experience as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, preferably in orthopedics, pain management, or sports medicine.
- Excellent knowledge of medical procedures, conditions, and diagnostics.
- Experience with x-ray-guided joint injections is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and a strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
