Job Summary
The Geisinger Bloomsburg ConvenientCare+ clinic provides patients with an alternative to the Emergency Department when prompt intervention is needed to treat worsening illness or exacerbation of a chronic condition.
Job Duties

- $10,000 recruitment incentive
- Attractive schedule:14 rotating shifts/month (every other weekend), no overnight shifts, and no mandated additional shifts
- Can work 100% at Bloom or split Bloom/Selinsgrove 60/40 or 70/30 mostly Bloomsburg
- Shifts: 12 hour (M-F) & 10 hour (S-S)
- Work autonomously with onsite physician support and limited administrative burden
- Support staff: Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, RNs (available all hours of operation), Phlebotomy, Radiology Techs
- Specialized Equipment: Telemedicine carts, negative pressure rooms, continuous vital sign monitoring
- Diagnostics: X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI
- Hospital Admissions: If necessary, patients can be directly admitted to the hospital from this hospital-based clinic
- Services: Diagnostics, including laboratory and imaging studies (onsite), as well as various treatments

Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeons with fellowships in Surgical Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery or Trauma Critical Care preferred.
There is an annual trauma volume of 1,800+ patients with an overall practice case load of 65% trauma and 35% non-trauma.
Surgeons work four weeks on (12 hr shifts), two weeks off ??? working three weekends out of every six.
