Senior Quality Engineer – Automotive – QE / QA

Automotive client is recruiting a Senior Quality Engineer who will provide quality support to production operations to ensure integrity of products. You’ll be instrumental in driving quality improvement with the goal of zero defects! Team focused company that takes pride in their quality image, product performance, and customer service.

As the Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll proactively lead all product development and launch activities which include design reviews, DFMA reviews, DCP reviews, customer visits, supplier visits and DV and PV testing. You’ll manage the processes and system quality requirements, new product development, & launch or process changes. You’ll supervise quality technicians and auditors. You’ll also develop Process Control plans and will work on cycle time improvements, inventory reduction, scrap reduction, MRO costs, and labor costs.

As the Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll identify improvement opportunities, develop proposals, provide and implement training for mistake-proofing throughout the manufacturing process. You’ll spearhead Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Minimum requirements for this Senior Quality Engineer:

• Degree in Engineering or similar discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in a Quality role in the automotive industry
• Proficient with automotive Quality tools such as QS-9000 and TS-16949, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, Process Flow and Corrective Actions
• Experience with Problem Solving methodologies such as 5 Why, 8-D, etc.
• Experience and knowledge of advanced quality planning, inspection and techniques
• Experience with Supplier relationships
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
• Proficient at MS Office & typical QA softwares.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Loading/unloading delivery trucks.
• Making deliveries to clients and setting up items as needed.
• Maintaining accurate delivery and pickup records.
• Accurately accounting for quantity/condition of items returned by clients to the warehouse.
• Knowing specifics and applications of rental inventory, so to better answer questions and provide direction.
• While driving company vehicles, serving as company representative, observing all laws and drive in a safe and courteous manner and completing safety inspection/safety check daily on vehicles.
• Maintaining communication with the Transportation Manager and while efficiently completing your daily route.
• Immediately reporting to the Transportation Manager and all issues, accidents and near misses that may occur with a customer, a customer's property, an AO employee, AO equipment, or other property while running a route.

The DSR will be expected to adhere to all company methods, policies, procedures, rules and requirements found in the All Occasions Employee Handbook and DSR Manual, as well as, verbal directions from company managers. They will also comply with all company safety rules and government regulations while working

The primary hours for this position arebetween 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Saturday, but due to the nature of the business and this position, other hours will be required as necessary to provide for customer needs, including some Holidays, Sundays and after hours.

Working Conditions: As this position does require occasional outdoor set-up, you may be exposed to the general range of weather experienced in the area. You will work in areas that are not heated or air conditioned is routine. You may have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents. Propane is an obvious hazard; hence a sense of smell is required.

The ideal candidate must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs., maintain a professional personal appearance, and must possess excellent customer relations skills. They will also be able to stoop, crouch, bend, lift, lower, reach, twist, pull, push, cart and carry items.

Education, Skills & Requirements:

• Must maintain a valid driver's license, DOT certification, and insurance eligibility.
• Ability to speak English clearly and write legibly.
  • The ability to speak other languages is a plus.
• Must pass company drug screen.
• Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
• Ability to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or demonstrated form.
• Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
• Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience.

The primary purpose of the Assistant Store Manager is to assist the store manager in upholding the daily store operations of a retail store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising execution, managing expenses and inventory, training and development of the store team, human resources management, and outstanding customer service.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Responsible for overall quality and performance of the retail store staff.
• Ensures compliance of all company policies and procedures.
• Models effective leadership to gain commitment to store goals and training standards.
• Assist with the recruitment, selection and training and development of store personnel.
• Assist, and provide feedback to Store Manager on annual performance evaluations for all store employees.
• Assist with expense management and develops strategies that position stores to perform in accordance with the budget.
• Assist Store Manager with monitoring and identifying issues relevant to the loss or inconsistencies in the Store to ensure store achieves successful goals of shrink that are at or below company plan.
• Monitors and controls all aspects of operational compliance, safety and business standards.
• Supports the training of all employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
• Ensures company customer service standards are upheld so that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment.
• Assists in the completion of accurate and regular merchandise inventory counts.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
• A standard work week not to exceed 40 hours.
• Flexible schedule required which includes but not limited to the following: days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of one (1) year in retail management.

Compensation:

Assistant Manager pay range: $15.25 - $17.25 per hour. Bonus opportunity if guidelines or criteria are met. All roles are eligible for the company 401K plan. Full time roles will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, and company-paid time off.
