About The Role

Responsibilities
β’ Conduct case intake, reviewing files, speaking with insured clients, and gathering key information from claim files
β’ File responsive pleadings within statutory deadlines, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedural requirements
β’ Draft and serve discovery requests and responses, coordinating with clients to obtain necessary information
β’ Communicate directly with insureds and claims representatives to provide case updates and manage expectations
β’ Take and defend depositions, applying strategic questioning techniques to assess credibility and claim validity
β’ Analyze non-party records, including prior medical histories and employment records, to identify inconsistencies in plaintiff testimony
β’ Prepare detailed case evaluations, summarizing legal issues, liability assessments, and potential exposure for insurance carriers
β’ Engage in motion practice, drafting and arguing motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and other pretrial motions
β’ Develop and execute litigation strategies, working collaboratively with senior attorneys and support staff
β’ Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations, advocating for cost-effective resolutions while protecting client interests
β’ Prepare cases for trial, including jury selection strategy, witness preparation, and trial exhibit organization
β’ Represent clients in court proceedings, handling motion hearings, arbitrations, and trials with confidence and professionalism
β’ Meet a 1,750 annual billable hour requirement while maintaining an updated task list in the firmβs practice management system to ensure accurate time tracking, data integrity, and seamless case handoffs
β’ Assist the partner with team management activity and oversight of associate attorneys in Tennessee.
Qualifications
β’ Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in the Tennessee State Bar with minimum 5 years experience (preferred), licensure in Mississippi and/or Arkansas (or willingness to obtain licensure in Mississippi in Arkansas) is not required but a big plus plus.
β’ Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage a caseload effectively
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions, depositions, and court advocacy
β’ Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and handle fast-moving litigation deadlines

Legal Collections Specialist
Location: Memphis, TN

Position Overview
A successful collections litigation firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Collections Specialist to support post-judgment recovery efforts. This role will work closely with the Post-Judgment Operations Manager to assist with wage garnishment processing, payment tracking, and case documentation related to a high-volume judgment portfolio.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-driven, and comfortable managing repetitive but critical tasks that ensure garnishments are processed accurately and accounts remain in good standing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process wage garnishment documentation
- Review employer responses and update case status accordingly
- Track and monitor incoming garnishment payments
- Identify accounts where payments stop or change and flag for follow-up
- Maintain accurate case records within the firm's case management system
- Assist with employer verification and employment tracking
- Support asset searches and documentation when necessary
- Ensure all documentation is processed in compliance with legal procedures and firm standards
- Assist with general administrative support related to post-judgment collections
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a legal office, collections environment, or administrative support role preferred

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal located in Memphis, TN. The Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and other staff members in the firm to provide a wide range of legal support services relating to litigation. Daily tasks will include preparing and responding to discovery requests, drafting legal documents, managing document databases, organizing and maintaining case files, and assisting with trial preparation. The Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal will also be responsible for communicating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, among other related tasks.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients in person and over the telephone.
- Transcribe, format, input, edit, retrieve, copy, and transmit text, data and graphics.
- Proofread, research, review, verify and route correspondence, reports and legal documents; draft letters and documents; gather and analyze information; initiate telecommunications; prepare expense reports.
- Maintain attorney calendar by planning, scheduling and organizing conferences, teleconferences, depositions and travel; record and monitor court appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements; organize attorney meetings; schedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses and other special functions.
- Document and input attorney billable time and reimbursable expenses; coordinate client invoicing with billing department

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- At least 4 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or paralegal
- Health Care litigation experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, including ability to draft pleadings, manage deadlines and calendars, and conduct legal research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The Community Care team is a multidisciplinary service including Registered Nurse (RN) Community Care nurses, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Community Care nurses, Community Social Workers (CSW) and Community Health Coordinator (CHC) who work with our highest complexity patients and their primary care physicians to meet their medical and social needs with the aims of fully engaging them in our intensive primary care model and maximizing their healthy time at home.The Register Nurse (RN) Community Care Nurse will serve as a clinical lead for a Community Care team. They will coordinate the teamβs efforts to stabilize our highest risk patients, with special areas of focus including safe transitions of care from facilities back to our primary care teams, stabilization of our highest risk ambulatory patients and outreach to patients who are assigned to us but are not engaged in care. This professional will also provide clinical supervision to other team members in delivering the plan of care and in other tasks necessary to meet their needs and engage them in care. As a clinical leader for the team, this person will also be deeply involved in prioritizing team efforts and may also become the direct supervisor for some team members.

- Ensures individual plan of care reflects patient needs and services available in the community or review of their benefits.
- Completes individual plan of cares with patients, family/care giverΒ and care team members.
- Communicates instructions and methodologies as appropriate to ensure that the plan is implemented correctly.
- Assesses the environment of care, e.g., safety and security.
- Assesses the caregiver capacity and willingness to provide care.
- Assesses patient and caregiver educational needs.
- Coordinates, reports, documents and follows-up on multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Helps patients navigate health care systems, connecting them with community resources; orchestrates multiple facets of health care delivery and assists with administrative and logistical tasks.
- Coordinates the delivery of services to effectively address patient needs.
- Facilitates and coachesβ patients in using natural supports and mainstream community resources to address supportive needs.
- Maintains ongoing communication with families, community providers and others as needed to promote the health and well-being of patients.

- Monitors the quality, frequency, and appropriateness of HHA visits and other outpatient services.

PAY RANGE:
$36.9 - $52.70 HourlyThe posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.
