MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules

Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Liaise with our CFO and executive team to improve financial procedures.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and mentor accounting staff.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA or MBA preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting or related field.
Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager.
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to direct and supervise.
Strong experience in project accounting is a must.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
