Job Overview

·      Ensuring that event has all items needed onsite for menu and execution

·      Participating in food preparation and service

·      Ensuring that kitchen staff adheres to all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations

·      Working alongside the service team to ensure high-level customer service through menu presentation, guest interaction and hospitality tailored to each event

Requirements:

·      English speaking is a must

·      Be open to work outside of traditional business hours. As a culinary service based business, our work often occurs in the evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. You will be offered flexible working days to accommodate for this.

·      Carrying, lifting, and transport of food and equipment to and from event sites and as needed

·      Have your own form of transportation (for commuting and transporting materials)

·      Ability to travel throughout the Washington DC-Metro area. In-person responsibilities will occur at various event locations, storage sites, stores and vendor locations, across the Washington DC metro area

·      Hours: varied, hourly and/or event-based

·      Compensation starting at $35/hour for contractor employment with a minimum of 6 hours guaranteed per event + travel. Kitchen production hours and rate based on experience and availability

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Intake Attorney to join a growing personal injury law team in Norfolk, VA. The Intake Attorney will be the first legal touchpoint for potential clients, conducting consultations, evaluating case validity, and guiding clients through the early phases of their claim. Key Responsibilities

• Meet (in person and/or virtually) with prospective clients to conduct intake interviews, assess facts and injuries, and determine legal viability of claims

• Advise clients about legal rights, possible outcomes, and what to expect in the claims process
• Gather and organize relevant evidence, including medical records, police reports, and photographs
• Maintain accurate intake notes, case summaries, and conflict checks
• Clearly explain firm processes, timelines, and updates to clients during early phases
• Coordinate with paralegals, investigators, and support staff to ensure cases are properly prepared from the beginning
• Assist in drafting initial demand letters or pre-litigation documents when appropriate
• Monitor compliance with statutes of limitations and other legal deadlines

Qualifications & Skills

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree, licensed to practice law in Virginia
• Prior experience (2+ years preferred) in personal injury law, particularly in intake or early case evaluation
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess case strengths and weaknesses
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with empathy for injured clients
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple intakes simultaneously
• Professional demeanor with client-focused mindset
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance claims, and litigation processes a plus
• Team-oriented, able to collaborate with support staff and attorney

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates during design development
• Identify cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options
• Assemble complete bid proposals and pricing summaries
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
• Collaborate and reconcile scopes with other members of the estimating team
• Ensure bids comply with project requirements, scope, and deadlines
• Participate in bid reviews and clarifications
• Identify potential risks, constructability issues, and scope gaps
• Prepare reports for management and clients
• Compare estimated vs. actual costs for continuous improvement
• Support negotiations during contract award
• Assist with client presentation preparation

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience and knowledge of construction estimating, means and methods, accounting, and document administration
• Thorough understanding of construction industry materials and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

• Experience with On Screen Take-off (OST)
