Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates during design development
  • Identify cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options
  • Assemble complete bid proposals and pricing summaries
  • Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Collaborate and reconcile scopes with other members of the estimating team
  • Ensure bids comply with project requirements, scope, and deadlines
  • Participate in bid reviews and clarifications
